WOW. That's crazy and impressive and scary What device are you playing on? How much real money have you spent if you don't mind my asking.
Is it just me or is the Porsche not on sale anymore. Just finished grinding $150 000 and its showing as $845 000 now :{
Bummer. I hate having to use trial and error in real races but I guess that's the only option. It'd be cool if they added something like that, maybe a drag racing mode...
Scrap that, something wierd with the connection, just shut the app a few times and now it's back at $633 000, delivered in 12 hrs 50 min
Love the game, haven't spend any real money yet. The game became great after buying the Ford Shelby GT500 and adding game center friends. Driver level 35 14% completed 24 total hours played These are the cars I have, all stock: Nissan Silvia Dodge Challenger R/T BMW Z4 M Coupe Ford Shelby GT500 - awesome Porsche 911 GT3 RS - awesome Porsche 918 RSR concept - costs 150 gold, good but often needs servicing for 2 hours after one or two races. Porsche Carrera GT - wouldn't buy again. The Nissan GT-R Premium (R35) costs less than half the Carrera GT, accelerates 1 second quicker, and handles better. I could have bought two cars with better acceleration and handling for the same price.
Tip Here's a useful tip for people that don't know. If you do a race and your car is getting torn up and you know you won't place top 3, just hit the home button before the finish line. Then kill the app. The race never happened and your car is shiny again
Updated Stats: 60hrs Level 62 255/961 events, 26% completed 225-Gold/17-Silver/8-Bronze 168G in the bank 22/46 Cars owned (picked up a 4th car yesterday, the Ford GT) For the PRO/AM WORLD SERIES, I'm now at ... 100%, 100%, 99%, 76%. I had to just bite the bullet and turn off my cellular data and wifi (and for a while log out of GameCenter) and play a few races just so the crazy times on Endurance Races would go away. That made the game much more achievable since most of the races were just the default AI racers with the flags for icons. Getting gold in the first of the last group of race on Performance Rumble is proving to be a bear though. Locked in the Silver, but it looks like either GC TSM players are going to make that one easier or I'm going to have to pick a car and start upgrading if I want to get that last 1%. Yep. It's a fantastic car. I'm not sorry I saved everything through the weekend till yesterday to get it. Service times are a bit excessive (1hr to change tires) but I got a solid 5 or so races out of it before the first red light showed. I could have passed on the tires, but I had planned on stopping right there anyway. If you are still using tilt steering or auto brake/gas... then change that up. Turn off all assists (feel free to leave Traction Control on though, but the others aren't needed). "Wheel B" is what I use for controls. It works well for just tilting the thumb a little for steering or sliding for extreme moves (which you shouldn't need to slide very often). I find that much more precise than tilt and easier to focus on the screen. The behind the car camera is also better overall for getting a good look at the course. Drive more responsibly. Brake before corners, don't ram cars from behind, yadda yadda yadda. Tire squeal is something you don't want. Try to find the speeds that let you get around corners without the wheel spin. Your times will improve and hey the less damage you have the more profit towards that next car. Ha, that is a good tip. I've slogged it out many races just because I wanted whatever prize money to help fix the damage. That seems simpler. It would probably make getting a few of those achievements for back to back wins easier.
We are really close on the stats... Here's mine updated, with progress %'s. 52hrs (and 1 min!! lol) Level 65 295/961 Events, 30% completed 274-Gold/11-Silver/4-Bronze $146,334 in the bank 24/46 Cars owned. I had a 12 hour wait time for that Porsche Spyder Concept to show up. I didn't play all that time but every hour of that was added to my game time. Last night I had some amount of time for the Ford GT to show, and that's when I stopped playing... that too was added. Pretty much my nightly thing has been to get to the point to where I unlock a car and then take a break.
Yeah, I'm still lagging behind, but getting closer to catching up. I'll just copy and paste your format... The Pro/AM World Series 100, 100, 99, 76 Pro Racing 3, 0, 0 Supercar League 2, 6, 13, 0, 0 Production Masters 44, 34, 54 V8 International 25, 26 Showdowns 0, 32, 3 V10 Global 1, 0 Mid-Engine Exotics 0, 0 Grand Tour [RWD] 0, 36 It's interesting to see how different a path we took. I'm looking to finish more PRO/AM today and more V8 International. I'm aiming for % and also R$ so I can push ahead in Showdowns - East/West Throwdown, to buy those cars at 20% off and open more Series. I think I want to polish off collecting the lower priced cars before getting too deep into the mega expensive cars that take more saving.
In the Prod Masters.. my 96% is just being held back by an endurance run on Laguna Seca!! I have a fourth place in it. No matter what... I can't get it in first place. Cars just keep disappearing.. well, they quit appearing. I'm running a great race, but after 6 miles in, I can't earn any more time back. I missed first place in the last race by ONE MILE!!! I almost turned my iPad into a Frisbee! hehe
Is that due to crazy times from TSM players? That's why I just logged out of GC and disabled my wifi & cellular data last night. After restarting the game it took some playing of other races, but eventually all the crazy TSM times disappeared. Good stuff.
Ahhh, nice! I've been really excited to try this game but man, the .ipa is huge! Lol, I have an 8GB iPhone and this game takes up about 1/4 of my hard disk. xD Piggybacking off this, the name of the game is braking a bit once you approach the corners so that you can accelerate THROUGH the turn and come out at the highest speed possible. I also find that if you go into a turn a bit too fast, sometimes you can just steer through it instead of accelerating or braking and that can at least slow you down enough to get you through it (depending on how fast you were going once you entered it) without wiping out.
Nah. This time it was only 14 miles. I had 13.2, had two laps without seeing anything other than the track.
