My main goal to this is just to finish unlocking each racing bracket's tracks for the bonus and try to hit the 25%/50%/75% goals for the extra money they give. But at the end of the day I may just need to pick a long race and grind since I want this car. I'm not sure what time it'll kick in, but this time tomorrow it should already be showing. For the PRO/AM WORLD SERIES I'm now at... 100%, 91%, 85% & 76%. I have some good numbers in other series, but that was one I was specifically working towards 100%'ing on all 4 sections. Did they ever say why iCloud saves aren't in the game? Kind of frustrating not being able to pick up my iPad and start from where I left off on my phone and vice versa. Just did a cup race twice and got 7th and 5th place each time. Switched to a car with lower stats and came in first easily. What the hell?
Sometimes between doing the same race, it'll sync up some different TSM opponents and sometimes they have different cars. I've watched going between Endurance races for instance and seen the times just completely different (often for the worse). Same for drag races. The whole lineup of cars may change between going back to the menu and starting the same race again. Of course the stats on a car are very deceptive. I think it's because we don't see the gear ratios. It's more obvious in drag races where the opponent in what seems like a better car is shifting at much different spots. Some of these BMW's for instance are geared such that they just dominate where it doesn't make sense by the basic stats.
Maybe by using the lower rated car, you were matched against other players also with lower rated cars. And since in general, those with lower rated cars are less experienced, your racing skills outmatched theirs?

It only reveals what the event/car will be. You can't pre-purchase at the sale price as that seems to be a server side thing they can offer whenever they want. I'm hoping it's at least 30% off. That's one pricy car.
Event and car are now active but no deal posted yet for the car. Hopefully this changes because I'm not saving up 800+K.
No. I have been using the last group of races in Performance Rumble to grind. One of the multilap races there yields around 12k but they still pay fairly well for a middle of the pack finish. To maximize earning I'm not servicing the car I'm using between uses and trying to get as little damage as possible to repair. Turning traction control back on after the tires are gone does seem to help. ... As for the q about BMW vs Shelby... The Shelby is more useful overall, but I'm finding each car useful in certain events and locations. So it's worth it to get them all by taking advantage of those sales every 3rd race. I wouldn't buy at full price another car in the same race group as one you already own. Other than the Silvia at the start of the game and my second car the BMW Z4 M Coupe, the other 16 of 18 cars I own were bought during sale events.

Just need 1 more race to get my first 100% with event but i cant even finish top 3 in this damn endurance race. Maybe game will have mercy on me.

Having the Porshe from this week though may help. Currently I have just over R$500,000. That Porsche is in site.
