I hope this hasn't already been covered, I've checked the last few pages and haven't seen anything, so here goes...

What are your favorite events for earning money? What's the highest payout per lap?

All of my timers have stopped. Has anyone else had this problem? I can't race because my repair timers won't budge.

Try restarting your app. Also you could try putting your device into airplane mode and turning forward your time by about an hour manually then opening up the game and hopefully your timers are gone. You wont get the hour back so if you end up with another hour of timers it will really be 2 hours since the actual time needs to catch back up.

So Ive been playing Real Racing 3 since the soft launch. Its a great racing simulator and really teaches you to be smooth and precise with controls. So by default...
    - Using Control Option B helps tremendously!
    - Getting rid of auto brakes and steering help so that you have full control of the car.
    - Now this is where i just learned something. I had left traction control on for a long time now thinking yeah it really helps me control my car better by not letting my wheels spin. Well this actually causes you to lose time.
    - Turning off traction control reduces lap time even further. Yes your car might want to step out in the back more under power if a corner is taken to fast but by letting the wheels actually spin lets the car still accelerate and gain speed. While with traction control on it automatically cuts the power until the wheel spin is reduced then picked it. In this elapsed time you don't accelerate. So traction control taught me to be super smooth so it never even kicked in which is good but without it now Im blazing fast. It frees up the car a little more to at least with my Audi Ultra ;)

How does a person get a personal avatar in the game? Also why are does half of my games have opponents with a flag as an avatar, while in the other half of the games the opponents have personal avatars?

    I like it.....

  8. Of course, all these 3d intensive games probably drain your battery twice as fast as normal. And my ipad gets pretty hot too.

    Just under a 100? O.O

Shit, I only use my iPhone 4s with 16GB for serious things (iWorks apps, photos, news, handy apps like barcode scanner and so on) and I am fighting for every single MB of free space. I seriously dont even have space for music, never mind games.

Okay. I'm jealous of all you people who have friends to 'race against'. I've been playing since day -13 (Australia) and I've only got a whole bunch of noobs in the first series to race against.

I like to think I'm pretty good at the game. Stats don't tell half the story but I'm: 289 events in, 55 hours, spent $3.4mill, level 66. Been spending less and less time each day playing because of work.

Also, I'm a gold hoarder. Saving up for all the discounted gold cars. Hello, Agera R.

Question: if you buy a gold car, are the upgrades in gold too? Or do they turn into 'for gold' upgrades sooner?

No guesses for my GC username.

Has this happened to anyone yet??

You're leading a race by a mile. Then all of a sudden you see you are 3rd or 2nd but no car passed you?? I've had this happen about 5 times. I was we'll ahead in 1st place then without seeing any car pass me I get put in 3rd place!!

What's going on? Is the AI cheating or is it cheaters? Or is it a bug??

It's probably a bug, or that the game actually sees your time doesn't pass the time of someone else in the race. I've been in third place once. I could see the two cars in front of me as we passed the finish line, yet, I was ranked #1 in the race by the time. Dunno really.

Those cars were probably backmarkers a lap down. :)

If I used a lot of my free time, I'd be in the 100+ hours lol.

Wierd. My work apps take maybe 100MB. Pictures/Video right now is eating over a gig because I recorded my oldest son's middle school band performance ... But I download and clean off photos from time to time to free space. I mainly use apps for Internet radio and don't download the podcasts I listen to. So there's very little music actually on my phone.

Gaming is my passion though so that eats up most of my space.

I've clocked in 40+ hours according to the game. Bit that's not actual gamesome since a lot of the time is servicing, waiting for cars to be delivered and so on. With 17 cars and many taking 2 hours for delivery ... A good chunk of that time I wasn't actually playing the game. I'd estimate I've maybe spent 20 hours playing.

I've had this game for 22 days now, and some chunk of that time is just spent outside of the races, managing my cars, looking at the repairs/upgrades and time you just leave the phone on the table for a minute while you look at something else.

Okay, so there's this thing (html, save me) I made, it's not terribly useful, but I use to use it just so I could see where each car was in the series. This is so I could plan out a path to purchase cars with the 20% discount. Just save it as HTML somewhere, and open it in Chrome/Safari/FF. It remembers your cars permanently locally on your machine. I don't use it much myself anymore since I play the game less, but I leave it open in a tab.

Anyone know if the gold cars have a discount showcase? Are they reduced by 20%?
