Yup, the game does a lot of that. You know, cheaters -.- EDIT: And a terrible AI that works by time. It can corner the Spa corners at 150 mph
Not really. I've had it where it changed who I matched up against between retries. Even in endurance races, return to the menu after a race, enter it again and the top distance, for example, in an endurance race is suddenly a mile shorter. I think if you do really bad it does try to match you with lower skilled TSM opponents. In the case of the Road Car International, that may very well be dominated on the low end by the Ford Focus. ... Let me preface this next thing with a disclaimer of sorts. I did not in any way cheat timers or anything in the game. Ok, that out of the way, last night I was thinking about unlocking my next car and I remembered last week there was a deal on some fantastic super car and it was way out of my budget. So I wondered that if I turned time back would that event and special deal re-appear. This did work in The Last Driver. You miss a deal on a powerup or car or whatever... but roll the clock back to when it was in effect and boom... there it was again. So I did that. The deal for the car wasn't active but indeed it did show what the event was and what car was on sale. So, yeah, being bright I thought about next week. What will the car be? Will I have enough for it. SO I flipped the clock a week into the future. Sure enough the event shows. This should work for all future events. Next week? Time for a spoiler tag because some may want to wait and be surprised (though honestly I just want to know how much to save)... Spoiler Next week the Car is the Porsche 918 Spyder Concept. It clocks in at R$845,000. So if it's 20% off (though heck I hope it's 30% off)... then I need to save at least R$676,000. It should be possible to keep rolling this into the future and make a long list of what's to come... but one target was good enough for me. By the end of the weekend I want to have that amount in the bank and whatever else I need for my next couple cars.
It seems to happen with faster cars or maybe im just imagining things. Seriously my Lamborghini burned through that oil after 1 race and it wasnt even that long :/
That's the event and car unless they update and change it. Everyone should be able to verify my findings with a little Time Shifted Clock Manipulation (TSCM ©2013 - nightc1) under the system settings of their device. I did close the game down and open it up after making the time change but it may not be necessary because I was looking to see if sales were also time based. The only question is will they do a sale and if so at 20% or 30%? I think last weeks car was 30% off which made sense as it was much more expensive than this week. Either way, I'm saving for that 20% off price. The car itself seems top notch for one set of events... while the bottom rung (which is insane given it's stats) of another. Yeah the Gallardo is really bad about burning tons of oil during a race. But you don't have to service it to keep racing ... it'll show you what the penalty is. It may just be 0.1 of a second on 0->60 or -1 MPH to top speed. The penalties are not as bad as they make it look.
Well, yeah that makes a difference in those events.. but I've won them with oil gone completely by having all assists off and driving with every turn in mind.
Bit the bullet, primarily because z1mb0bw4y sold me on it and secondarily because I was too impatient to save up for the Zonda, and purchased the Porsche 918 RSR, and, holy crap, that thing is fast. I'm already an aggressive driver and my first two races, I could hardly keep it on the track (needless to say, I didn't win). I've also finally started upgrading my cars (starting with the Porsche 911 GT3 RS), trying to concentrate on those cars that have the most bang for the buck, e.g., are 1st or 2nd tier in the most races. What should I upgrade next? The Shelby? BMW sDrive35is? I'm fairly cash poor atm (~$250k) because I don't have that much time per day to race. Still enjoying myself though. Haven't had the slightest issue with the pay to play either. P.S. I find some of your TSM times exceedingly irritating.
Any of mine? I think 1/2 my friends list is from this thread, the rest were a few friends from another site and a few of the regs here. But I've wondered if any of my times have popped up for others and been competitive in the slightest. One key to victory I've found is that if I don't win to look close at what the other guy is driving. That's typically where I've had to decide what to upgrade. For instance, in the Street Spec Skirmish, I was having no luck on the Speed Record event in the Supafly European Mixed Motorsport. I was just about 2 seconds off and even though I hadn't won gold yet, the top dude was a TA forum member. Matching cars didn't help, the other guy must have modded his. But the Skyline is perfect for that event because of it's already top speed... but it was just shy of what I needed because of less grip or something... so I upgraded it last night after racing around looking for the best long distance line to set a record. I had to beat 138.something MPH... managed to get 140MPH and had room to go further but I saved the car instead of doing my usual thing of just crashing at the end so I use every inch of asphalt. Unfortunately that's definitely the main side effect to this game. I feel for those that come in late to the party because some of these records are going to be tough to beat.
I don't have a large collection of cars, but the Shelby was the second car I purchased. I've ungraded the engine, drivetrain and body completely, and I think it is worth every penny.
You should. The Zonda is simply amazing!! Regarding the TSM times, it kind of shuts one off from the game.
If I am of any competition on TSM just know I mostly use pure stock cars. The only upgrades I've done that I can think of are on Silvia, Shelby, & the Skyline... and in all cases I felt like I needed to for certain events. ... Unrelated to that, I'm fighting through learning to drive without traction control. Man that's a good feature for a car to have, but I know some achievements are only possible by racing without any assists along with the gas/brakes. The only thing I had left was traction control.
I really like this game, has any body brought iap yet because I'm think I should any advise please I feel like if I do I'm cheating myself and the game what do u think
Go night! Kinda curious to see how long you will continie to play before deleting. You've passed me up, and nowadays I haven't been playing as much especially since I got an icade core, so need disk space for icade games. Damn, wish the icloud support would release soon. Kinda grinded alot already, don't want to lose my progress now cause this is when the game is most fun. need the disk space for my icade core games. Sigh, what am I gonna do? Don't see a lot of the NZ time gamers here anymore, dang, hope they implement icloud soon. With my luck, they will implement it a day after I delete it for disk space. Sigh. So night, how long you estimate it will stay on your system?
You need a computer, itunes, and iFunBox (free on the net, google it). Then you can connect to your i-device and copy out the "Documents" folder in each game that you want to backup the save. That seems to be it. Though I'd also be sure to have a copy of the game backed up as well incase a future version comes along and it's for some weird reason not compatible. Honestly, I'm having a lot of fun with this. I like that the tracks are real world locations and I've sort of committed myself here in memorizing them all. I think it's going to remain for a long time on my iPhone. Right now my main goal is to 100% all of the PRO/AM WORLD SERIES. I'm at 100%, 74%, 75% & 51% for the 4 sections. I'm pushing through the second group to get that to 100% before moving on to the others. Somewhat related to keeping this game, I've been slowly working my way to the point of not keeping games on my phone that I'm not playing. So, I'm starting to use that iFunBox tool to backup my saves on the important games. Some games, I would re-install with the intent of starting fresh... others, it's important to be able to jump right back in with high scores in tact and content unlocked. So thankfully I probably only have a few dozen game saves to back up. I estimate by the end of the weekend I should have about 5 gigs or so free on my iPhone. So space is no longer going to be a huge issue for me.
I #@$^!@# hate Brands Hatch. I cannot keep my $!@#@!# car on the road on that first turn. That is all.
Wow, how big of an iphone do you have? I got 64 gbs on my new ipad, and am always full. Especially now that I have an icade core joystick and gameloft joystick. Keeping those joystick type games is making me zonkers with disk space. But yeah, maybe I should buy a junk laptop just to save ipad game progress. Seems stupid to do so, but maybe it is best. Can't believe that I would have ever considered buying a laptop just for ipad saves, but maybe it makes sense. I wonder if I could get a cheap used laptop for $100 or so, but if I have to spend $300 or more for it, I would rather have 300 buck ios apps. Hmmm... Tough call, maybe I can try buying an old laptop from a friend for $100. RR3, is a tough dilemna, like the racing and gameplay, invested a lot of time grinding already. Just got to the point where it is most fun with 4 cars. Don't want to start over, still waiting for this maybe mirage icloud save service. Sure hope it comes soon EA! How can you have a freemium game with huge inapps with no way to save? Doesn't make any sense.
Hi all, Not been keeping up with the thread for a few days .... is the on-sale Lambo worth bothering with ... seems like there isn't much use for it (have both Audi R8's already) Better to save up for something else?
16GB base model 4S. I don't play games like they are popcorn though ... I dig deep into stuff I'm actually playing. So I'm realizing really quick that I don't need everything on my phone at all times. Currently I have just under 100 games on my phone... at the end of the weekend I plan to have maybe 40 on there. Keep in mind I have backups of every app on my netbook. Honestly, it's crap for the competitions it's involved with since it's the bottom rung car. The only reason to get it would probably be for drag racing ifyour R8 isn't upgraded since stat wise it might be a little better.
