Great advice I just figured out that the sales were not random, happy to be able to purchase at reduced price from now on My 2 cents: Once you got 3 cars, timers are a non issue. I already played more RR3 than RR2 I guess. And TSM is a lot of fun and an easy cash grab in cup races with 20 GC opponents. I made almost 10k bonus coins in a race. Great game
There are a few hacked videos up on YouTube of ppl with the higher end cars Agera R and such. They look extremely fun to drive but I'm going to wait till I can work for one legitimately. To me working my way up is a big part of the fun. I did watch some kid upgrading his Agera R and some of the upgrades were over 100g. You're looking at quite the investment of money and gold to max those cars out. Add in the fact that you can only race it say 6 times every 20hours, that sucks. I guess the highest end stuff is setup only to be played lightly and most likely you'll end up in the midrange for the majority of playtime. Until you own 5-6 of the highest end cars. Anyone know of an event that will unlock a tier for the Lambo Gallard LP560-4? The weeks challenge is for that car, and I'd love to get it at a discount lol.
I was pretty blown away by this initially, but after playing for about 20 hours I've gotten sick of it I think. The lack of any sort of dynamic AI really hampers the experience for me. After a while it just feels like I'm grinding for a better car and not having that much fun racing. Maybe I'm just not very good, but it seems like it's too hard until I get a better car and then it's too easy. The wait times haven't really been a problem, and I have had fun with it, but I think I'll go back to NFS:MW. Even without the Freemium model RR2 is a better game I think.
There is a series with that lambourgini and the Mclaren that vosts 65 gold. Buy the Mclaren and play that series, once you get to the sixth set of races, that will be the lambourgini on a discount of 20%. Just make sure you do not unlock that sixth tier until you have enough money to purchase the car you want on sale.
so i did a one-on-one race, and was put up against the same car as mine (the starter nissan). my stats are maxed out on it, so at worst, the other car was as well. when on a straightaway, the other car would consistently distance itself from me at about 5 yards/second. how is that possible? we were both traveling in the same straight line, and have identical stats. also, the game sometimes offers a discount on a car when a car-specific race comes up. i never have the money for it, so i can never get it at that time. are they ever offered on sale again? if so, how do you get it to do that again once you've passed up the offer once?
Sometimes that is mainly the opponent has a better time than what you are doing. It will slow down if it has made up too much ground, even if you are behind it. As far as the discounts go, the unlocked series that gets you the 20% discount only comes up that one time. Some cars have been put on sale for a couple days.
This is my sentiments...EXACTLY! Tell me about it...I have won races where I am a few km ahead of my rivals (including once by 3km in a single lap race at spa!!!), while at other times unless I upgrade the top car in a tier to the max, winning remains elusive. F* FM and EA for not giving this game a real dynamic AI. TSM AI is just unbalanced and doesn't perform relative to you...they just do their own thing.
I have realized this as well. I presume this is because the car got delayed earlier on, and now has to make up ground so it actually exceeds its top speed. Possible? Also, I realize that when you overtake a car that had decent pace, that car suddenly starts dropping off very quickly. Doesn't happen always but like 40% of the time.
Not completely true. I passed up the Focus offer the first time then in the first production masters it was there with a second chance to get it at 20% off. . They may not all have that second chance. But that one did and I think others do as well. I need to progress more to find out but if you are further than me in that first production masters see if the 350z has a single car event. Edit: the third production masters group has a single race with the 350z that should be a sale race. Maybe they all do?
I haven't seen a car make up time like that. Damage to your car can make it slower than an opponent even in a stock racer. I have faced that issue many times. Yeah that happens to me most of the time, especially if I ram the car and insure it can't keep up anymore. On the other hand I have been far ahead (1000yd) and made a bad turn and the car behind me closed the gap to a couple hundred or even under 100yd.
I think every 3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th race (showcase race) offer the respective car at 20% off. So if you miss one, you may still be able to get it by looking at the requirement cars for another category.
