I do this too, mainly to protect my car but was just thought I might be missing out on money. If not I'll carry on as usual. Cheers.
The first time I encountered a long line of AI bots, I didn't think about others at all. The second time I locked in first place, stopped the car, and let the time tick away because I realized just how bad some of these things were getting. But I haven't had it happen where I had group after group of cars like that, just maybe one group and then a massively long stretch where there were no cars to pass. ... Similar to this though, and saving damage, if I'm on an elimination event or something similar and there's no way to catch someone before the time runs out I'll just stop as well. I figure that not only saves my car but could make for an easy finish for someone else later.
I haven't seen an answer to this yet? Do you get a discount on showcase events for cars you purchase with gold? I don't know if I should but the Mclaren or Porsche 918 spider now or wait until I unlock a showcase for them. Thanks!
maybe we should stop fighting over this...and play it.. if you dont like it dont play it. simple... if you like it and want to learn more check out these tips.: www.helpwithgames.com/real-racing-3-tips/ cheers
I'm not far enough along to be able to answer that, wish I could help. My goal though is to pass up any car purchase unless it's a deal until the deals stop coming or I hit a wall where it's just impossible to progress without buying a better car at full price.
I just had a damn good race! It was brutal! I was able to overtake the lead car at the very last "double hairpin", and sprint to the end. That was awesome.
Wowzers, only a couple of days, and you got 14 cars, you are a maniac! Wow, serious gamer indeed. Yeah, I hate this word "vocal minority", everyone is using it as an attack word, and it makes no sense cause you can interpret it anyway you want, and basically everyone here has aired some complaints, and the term is just being used as a derogatory word with different interpretations. You could almost define the vocal minority as the pro developer people here that just attack anyone that posts something somewhat negative, cause honestly, they are in the minority, and they are vocal in the sense, because, when they respond to the other vocal minority that is bashing the game, they are indirectly added fuel to the fire and causing worse flamewars. And then night has another interpretation that we are the vocal minority, cause the majority are the masses of people that don't really do any research on games, and doesn't really give a rats behind except to get an app for free. Welp, vocal minority, whatever you are, here's to you!
I am having way too much fun with this title. Figured since people complain that they can hardly play for timers, I would reinstall on another iOS-device and see how far I could get with ZERO wait. The answer was 88 minutes (and still no wait), then I quit to get back to my "real" game. Not a single real currency used and still had the 20 (actually earned a few more also) gold left I got in the beginning. I got the Focus first. Ignored all repairs. Saved for the Nissan. Then switched between these two cars. Upgrading the Ford a bit while racing the Nissan. Timers aren't as bad as some people try to make them out to be. And even if you race much worse than me, buying the BMW as nightc1 mentioned is a third the price of RR2 and should keep you going a lot. Anyways my review here, if anyone cares for a Danish one. http://www.gamereactor.dk/anmeldelser/153971/Real+Racing+3/
I am very anoyed about those stupid AI cars. They just run through the race line and don't let you pass them and when you are slower than them they dont avoid you. They just ram your car to overtake you. I really like the game graphics and the tsm idea but i think it coud be far more better than that. At the begining i really thought it was going to be like a gran turismo game. With licences. Tons of races and circuits and a bit more cars. I mean.. Come on. Even Gameloft's GT Racing Motor Accademy has it... A single race mode where you could choose a racing mode, a circuit, a car and play against the computer. The multiplayer mode could have been another option... Tell me if some of you guys feel the same And sorry for my english If you want to add me as friend on Game Center my nickname is Shirflex
Well, I think the majority of players here would like some improvement to the AI, but as some players have noted, if you just get the mentality that that is what they are going to do, it gets easier to enjoy the game. It is what it is is, kinda... I for one, take advantage of the game, and play this game like an arcade bumper car racer. Just ram cars, laugh when they rear end me causing me to tailspin, use the grass and graze them when passing, and box them out from passing me, cause they are so predictable on how they will pass. Guess some of the better players never get rear ended, but it is funny when they do it and when you spinout for no reason. At first I thought it was my bumper dragging, but now when the faster cars lap you, they ram you, and cause you to spin out, sometimes hard enough for you to get hit into a barrier. Anyway, hopefully, they can improve the AI, I noticed in the higher tracks, the AI does seem better. Added you as a friend, just noticed your accepted while I was typing this. Have fun beating me up. Cheers.
The only time an AI car has rammed me was after pulling back on the track and going super slow or if they were beside me or almost able to pass me and just clipped the very corner of the car. Graphics are pretty fantastic. Each course is represented very well. TSM can be very punishing though. I wonder how newbies will be to this game when the TSM opponents mop the floor with them right out of the gate. When I heard it was freemium, I took my expectations and dropped them to the floor and expected the worst. It would be great if the game had that stuff though... to make it a proper racing game. As it is, you are limited to racing only certain races with certain cars. Which makes me wonder how much the mega expensive cars are even worth if I can only use them in one or two groups of races and that's it. Sort of seems pointless other than trying to beat the TSM opponents and finish the main goals of the game.
What worries me the most about the most expensive cars is that they seem to have over 20 hour wait timers. Kind of hard to justify all the grinding for a car, I can't use that often. But would be cool to see how the top end cars are. And I am sure someone will post, hack it, but I refuse.
I can do the "hack" on my iPhone 4, upload a vid, then delete everything lol. That phone isn't being used except for beta testing.
Anyone have any tips on getting trophys on endurance? I played an endurace race for a about 10 minues and i only came in 5th place because time ran out, and then i had to service my car for about 30 minutes because of how long it took; it was my first race of the day! Idk if i should maintain a speed instead of speeding accross the whole race because the time cant go above 90. Cheers!
Just keep replaying it over and over until you get the position you want. I've had to do 'em over at times. Maintaining a speed instead of going for the "fastest lap time" isn't going to really help.
