Have you tried the other camera views like the outside car view or hood view? Even ipad 4 owners are reporting that framerates are bad in cockpit view. Firemonkeys needs to seriously consider changing the default view to outside car view, cause many people often don't go into the option menus to change the view. Try the other views if you haven't and hopefully it will make you like it better.
This game is like a bad chuck Norris joke. You don't play the game. The game plays you. This joke is easy to dismiss but it has a point. Some one made a post several pages back about how if he couldn't play the game he would go and do something else like read a book. One should really be able to read a book or do whatever takes fancy without thinking "oh gosh are my timers done yet, I need to play this game to get maximum time played in a day or il miss the opportunity". There's not much of an actual game here because it's designed totally to not play like a race and play more like a dodgems fairground ride, on the wrong type of track entirely There are lots of games around here that the devs make for passion if you look in the right place and they don't make your life revole around their games like this one, which is almost exactly what it tries to put itself forward as. Wheres the subjective "fun" in that?
Somebody said that playing in offline mode eliminates all the chopiness. It seems it has to do with the loading of the avatar images, that slows down everything. You might want to check it.
Wow, sweeping statements much! I'll be interested to see how you go when you get spun off Conrod straight at Bathurst in a high spec car after being shunted from behind. And have a wait time of a few hours. I loved this game initially at the first launch, then hated it cause of the timers, the timers got tweaked to what they are now, and I am back to loving it. With enough cars now for the timers not to be an issue. For sure I would have preferred premium, but it isn't. I still think, AI aside, this is the best in the series hands down.
When you look at a race series the list of 3-4 cars below all get a showcase. These happen in the 3rd tier, 6th, 9th, and 12th in that Series. So if you want to save on the last car, you should make sure you have enough money before unlocking the 12th tier. I don't know if gold cars get a showcase and a discount. I don't think using the cheapest car to save on the others is a good idea. I have tried it and the car just wasn't able to be very competitive and caused me more frustration than it was worth. It might work if you play offline though, but I usually don't use that because I find it dull to race against the terrible non TSM AI bots. I think a good way to go about it is to buy into cars that are the best in one series and second best in another. So that way the series they are second best in, makes it easy for you to race through the series and then save on the best car. Make sure you are checking the car stats though, one of the most important stats is the last one, that is cornering force. Generally a car with higher cornering force will be able to achieve better times on most tracks. Some tracks like the Indy Speedcourse and Spa, those would benefit a car with higher top end speed. Usually the best and second best car in the series, one will have the top speed the other the best cornering. I can recommend a few cars off the bat BMW 1 Series M, Shelby GT 500, BMW Z4 SDRIVE35IS, Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and the Audi R8 V10 Coupe. Also, on the series Performance Rumble, the game has BMW M3 GTS listed as the best, it isn't the Shelby GT 500 is a much better car, avoid buying the M3 GTS.
So, no cloud saving in this game? Reading that ea user agreament policy it seems it was using cloud to save data but i'm unable to switch from my iphone to ipad and continue where o left off.
Today I saw a real cheater in the game. Japanese or Chinese nickname. His Dodge was so incredibly fast it actually disappeared from the line of sight before all other cars clocked past 40 mph. Wow. It was funny, but soon I realized now I can't win this event. What can I do now?
Report them to apple I guess, the likelihood of some one doing something about it is minimal at best though. Hardly any developer/publisher cares about such things but you could also try contacting EA about it... Mmmmmm don't rate your chances on that either. Maybe if he is on your GC delete him, but that won't fix the leaderboads. EDIT: looks like they do care after all

Got my 6th car today, Lamborghini Gallardo. The timers are spot on now, and while I've not bought any IAP yet, I will eventually if anything just to reward Firemonkeys for their efforts.

I guess you can get very fast opponents when they take shortcuts in tracks (there are beautiful shortcuts which save 5-10 seconds), but I don't think that TSM would make it go THAT fast...
