Yeah the "AI" is one of the things that are included in the game that disrupt the enjoyment for me at times. It's ridiculous that, at times, you see a car spin out from colliding with another, and you go 1000+yrds in front, and it still catches up and passes you. This has happened in my maxed out Focus, on a straight-away, at max speed. Over 1000 yrds in front, and it catches me? wtf.
I wouldn't mind the ai so much if I didn't start in dead last place at the start of every damn race. Some races the early track area is wide enough in the first few turns to get around the boobs but other tracks... you just know your car is going to be destroyed before lap 1 finishes.
Anyone know of an out of game list of the cars/specs and applicable series? I'm a planner and I haven't been able to find one online as of yet.
Looks like Firemonkey's done another update on the fly. I got the updating/downloading bar when I launched the game today and now the lag in the menus has gone.
Damn son 10% to lvl 500 achievement lol. Some of the achievements are rediculous. Like play for 2500 hours. Wtf man
Question on showcase discounts: does every car get a showcase/discount event in each set that car is in? Also do the cars you have to purchase with gold get discounted for their showcase events? Also, Is it better to always get the cheapest car and then purchase the more expensive ones when discounted? I have enough for an Audi TT but wondering if I should save up for a better one.
No it will not. Not everybody has an iPhone 5 - the only device this game is playable with. You just can't play a racing "sim" at 15 frames per second (that is what I get on my 4S in the cockpit view). Your review is not very accurate and giving it 4/5 is very unprofessional.
The most I've waited was 18 minutes and I have a life so I didn't really mind waiting. If you drive like an idiot you get "punished". Don't drive like an idiot. And saying the AI crashes into you just seems like complaining at a game just because the whole "freemium" model isn't that bad and something has to be wrong with it cause it was hated before it was played. 5 stars cause it deserves it.
Um, I think you're fishing for the wrong reasons here. You think people that don't like being run into are complaining just because it's freemium? I'm sure there are people out there that don't like the game, haven't played it etc. However, don't generalize it so that it fits your own agenda here. You like it, you feel it deserves five stars, that's great. Having your progress stunted due to the extremely poor AI isn't a "feature". It's poor design. You can drive the entire track perfectly, and you can still be punished by the AI ramming you off the track.. does that make it appear that someone is driving like an idiot? Of course if you drive poorly, you don't benefit from that. That's completely acceptable. Again though, sometimes you aren't making mistakes, driving like an "idiot", etc., and yet, you still are punished.
I agree with Eli on this... iPhone 5 here and loving the game as is. Please do not change anything about this game other than adding multiplayer. The realism in the steering is amazing; big improvement from RR2.
