If you are stuck on an endurance race where some idiot got 150 miles, just quit the game, go to the settings app and turn on airplane mode. Start the race again and you have the default, non TSM and very slow AI to compete against. This works for any event in the game.
I was vey concerned about how the timers would affect my enjoyment, and somehow I think I am enjoying the game MORE because of them. The potential for costly and time consuming repairs and maintenance has made me more carefully choose how to drive, as well as to diversify my driving to many cars in a single class. I'm a casual gamer these days and play a few minutes here and there, so my experience is very likely different from someone who wants to play several hours a stretch. For me, the model works wonderfully. That said, I still feel the developers should offer a single IAP to remove all timers, whether that is $9.99, $20, etc.
Strange. I uploaded a GC photo yesterday but its still showing the default image for my avatar in the game. Anyone else having this issue?
Crashing and rebooting on ipad mini Has anybody else had this problem ? starting to get really annoying.
I'm having a blast with this game, so far I've got 2 cars, the Ford focus and Ford Shelby. Wait times are not an issue. Has anybody got the F1 McClaren? Also is there a way to race friends through game centre in real time? Thanks for the info.
I uninstalled the NZ version and installed the US version today with a fresh start. Why does my game show no timers for normal repairs and small 5 - 15 minute timers for the service times? Is it just because I'm using a cheap focus or is it standard for all cars or something? If this is the case, I'd give the game 10 out of 5 stars oO
Just tried this and it removed all of TSM records but 2. Kinda wierd. I closed the app before turning on airplane mode. PS. I hate your TSM ghost in-game. You're always driving me off the road
Huge step backwards and I don't say this because of the IAP. Don't get me wrong, the graphics and driving experience has improved. However, this is now simply an arcade style game. There is no real career experience and the game is flooded with sh*t trophies like drag race, seeing how many miles you can drive, who can go the fastest etc etc. completely pointless IMO. All you should have is single races and championships where you have several races and gain points in a league. As I said, this is now just an arcade game with no real progression. Game now deleted and Real Racing 2 re-installed.
So, how's the game's monetization going along? I pray everyday that it fails so the freemium madness ends right here. Or else it will only get worse as time gets by.
Well, been on the charts for only 3 days, and has been climbing in position every day (currently up to #27). So, as usual, prayer does nothing The so-called madness will end right around the time capitalism itself ends. I haven't spent a dime on the game so far and have gotten as much or more enjoyment out of it as any racer I did spend money on. It's a pretty good game and it's going to earn EA a lot of money, get over it.
Loving this game so far. As casual as I play games the timers don't bother me at all. Hell I almost feel it adds a little something to the gameplay. My biggest issue is finding a control setup and brake/traction setting that feels good. Not a big fan of tilt controls, but braking on the last option isnt going so well. What are you guys finding the best control setup to be? Also add me on GC: Socalledsin
Well, the whole IAP scheme must be working ... Number 1 free app in UK and Number 14 top Grossing app already
Me too, love the drag races, speed challenges, endurance racing. Personally I felt that real racing 2 was lacking modes like that. This is by far the best racing game on iOS. I'm very impressed. Is there racing in real time in this game?
I'd agree with you. I long for a proper career mode, where you actually play in points based cups (why tf is regular races called cups in this game anyways?). And I do agree it does have an arcadey feel to it too. Anyway, the game as it is isn't all that bad if you're willing to open up. Sadly the 40+ hours I played in the first 10 days or so has taken its toll and I've had enough of it for now.
I don't have the McLaren F1 but I did get the McLaren MP4-12C. It's a fun ride, didn't want to hold off on using my gold coins too long.... My favorite ride so far though is the BMW Z3 is-drive something or other. It's the "top" car for two separate events and a whole lot of fun to drive. Plus, plenty of hood to look at in the bonnet cam!
Totally agree. Both Z4 cars are beast. The sDrive35is version is probably my favorite car so far. Insane grip when fully upgraded and way fast for its category
