Heck no! See my sig! Haha! But it is a good freemium game, so maybe I will at least join the Real Racing 3 Defense Squad. Signed, Connector President of the Real Racing 3 Loserz Club
There's a bug with Endurance Events where sometimes a bunch of cars spawn, like 20 at a time, that only drive ~10 mph. This allows for some ridiculous records of 40 miles. I have experienced this multiple times. Just a heads up for people thinking they are cheating. Also, don't be a dick if this bug occurs, restart the race so it doesn't #### up other people's experience.
3 1/2 rating for TA Users. I see a lot of TA Users still use the weak, outdated iPod Touch 4th gen and iPhone 3GS... ## Upgrade you broke arses!!!
Well, I would admit to being more of a casual gamer, not a hardcore gamer on ios, but I am very much a serious ios gamer, I don't have a console, nor do I feel an urge to get one. So I would call myself an avid ios gamer to make it simple. I realize there are a lot of hardcore ios gamers out there on TA like you or Syntheticvoid, who can play a game for 8 hours straight, trying to get high scores or completions, but for me, I just play hundreds of games very casually. So I play Real Racing 3 too with that philosophy, just try to make it fun as can be for me on hdmi tv. I actually enjoy ramming cars trying to pass, flying through the grass, and playing in a bumper car like mentality at times. Yeah, if this was true multiplayer was out, then yeah, I would play more competitively cause I play alot of sports and love to compete. I'm actually a very good videogamer when I want to be, and have won a couple of tournaments when I was younger, but never felt the urge on ios to be on leaderboards, rankings, etc. But, if a day comes, yeah, I will compete like crazy and do my best to win, and not use hdmi tv and use the best controls and assists possible. But that urge has never hit me on ios. Probably would have to buy a console for that. I was one of the biggest players on the xbox modding scene, every major company and hackers group knew who I was aka Mr. Xbox. So I am well familiar with the console scene, but I never appreciated the high costs of games, and if you spent $60 on a game you didn't like, then you got screwed. With ios, I love getting 60 one dollar apps, and let's say another 40 for free, that you can play with. So basically 1 console game equals 100 ios games to me, and I would pick ios because of that, plus it is portable. I will try your advice, especially going down to low braking, that may well be best for my arcade experience. The controls, I usually just play the stupid style of left on left side, right on right side, cause it is easy to play with hdmi tv. Prefer the tilt to that cause it is funner, but you know the story, ipad is heavy, and hdmi makes it even more cumbersome. But I will try the steering wheel controls, usually don't like them, tried it a little, but usually now use L/R controls, which are probably the WORST controls for high scores, but hey for hdmi, it is sexy! Haha
Absolutely loving this game so far. Got 3 cars and about $75,000. $0 spent so far. It's pretty easy with timers after you get two cars.
Love the game. I don't mind the freemium model either. I'm a working adult who is happy for pay for quality stuff. Think about console games that used to always cost $40-50. Here i get to play for free. And if i want to buy extra stuff, I can drop $10-15.... which is EASILY what the game is worth. Think about all the manpower and hours that went into this game. Not sure why the price point for all iOS is now $99 or free... because of all the kids who want to play cut the rope or angry birds. It's too hard to get people to buy a $6-10 app now a days. Here you get them to try it out for free, and if they want to pay extra, then they can at their discretion. You absolutely to not need to pay in order to avoid the timers. Just get a 2nd car... takes maybe 1 hour of playing. Once you get 2-3 cars, the timers are not even a problem at all. Who is sitting there with 1 car playing 5 hours at a time??? Do some upgrades, get a class of water, read a book, go outside, then come back and play. Pretty simple.
Yeah, I've seen a few miles in Endurance that just aren't realistic. I've been in second on a few of them.
One random observation that I came across: you can zoom in and out of the main menu using the two-finger pinch. It's kind of pointless, but I thought it was interesting.
Not sure when I spent all this time but apparently I've played for 7h 9m Stats: Total Time 7:09:00 Earnings R$361,340 Money Spent R$390,051 Fame Points 44760 Total Gold Gained 94 (spent 65 on a McLaren MP4-12C) 53 of 961 events completed (5%) 7 Cars of 46 (Total Cost R$551,995) Total Upgrades Done 17 Favorite Car: Dodge Challenger R/T (which is true actually) Cars Owned: Nissan Silvia (S15) Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R34) Dodge Challenger R/T McLaren MP4-12C (I find her very tricky to drive) Ford Shelby GT500 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Nissan 370Z (Z34) Pure Stock Challenge 56% Street-Spec Skirmish 20% Performance Rumble 14% Vanguard Challenge 18% Road Car International 0% 6 cyl Annihilation Series 0% V8 Performance Brawl 0% V8 Muscle Hustle 0% Assists On, except Braking set Low. It is fun, but I don't half miss some of the stuff from RR2, like practicing. The first few races after I switched Braking assist from High to Low was expensive as I kept crashing/bashing into other cars. The slow animations between screens gets old quickly. Its definitely worth saving cash when you have multiple cars for those times when you unlock one of the challenge cars. The 20% discount is nice.
That makes a bit more sense then, that then includes about 2 hours of servicing where I left it servicing while I slept Thanks.
Does anyone know if they've officially announced they are going to add iCloud saves? I've been playing on my phone since its the device that's always with me. I'd really like to play on my iPad as well when the situation arises like when I am home sitting on the couch like I am right now. If they are going to add iCloud saves I'll hold off. If not, I'll probably just say screw it and start a new save on my iPad.
or you could just use ifunbox, diskaid, iexplorer etc and backup and transfer the file all by yourself instead of waiting for the devs if they ever add icloud
Put me in the "morally opposed in theory but not actually adversely affected much" camp. On its face, I hate the increasingly aggressive moves to the pay to play models, but, practically speaking, I work, I have a wife who doesn't game at all (and who for some reason seems to enjoy my company), and I have two kids who slaver every time I flip open my iPad. This means I get to game in 15 minute increments, which is perfect for games like this. I,ve never played any sort of racing game before, on any platform. So I've got no basis for comparison, but I'm enjoying this quite a bit. I haven't taken the training wheels off yet, but even so, I'm still enjoying it. If I'm not going to be playing that much, would you recommend the two cheap car route (e.g., go with the Focus next) or the grind the Nissan until I can afford a higher tier car route? I'm sure I stink, so feel free to add me: etonblue
On their support site they said the framework is in place, they just haven't flipped the switch yet. Hopefully it's soon.
I downloaded this game twice, and deleted it twice. I read tips and stuff, but progressing is just >_>
