    Thank you for answering!
But I always thought that you were playing against other players aswell so I never understand why they never start from last position.
And thanks for the tip! I actually just drive straight into the gaps so I can
move up a few places fast! Love my BMW ;)

    1) There are about 10 different locations, but 4 of those have multiple versions of the track, so in total there are about 15 tracks I believe. That's pretty good for a free game. It's also better than RR1 or 2.
    2) Saying they're boring is hilarious as these are real world tracks. And not only that, but some of the best racing tracks in the world.

Yes with most cups in the game you start in 22nd. There are a few where its less, more like 16 but can't remember where that was. It's harder on certain tracks where you're only given 2 laps (often mt Panorama has this) or a track like Laguna Seca, where you start behind the final corner. It's certainly not impossible to win though (I have we'll over 200 gold trophies), but combined with the AI means you're likely to sustain some damage.

The BMW 1 is what I ended up using at the end. I used the Focus for the majority though.

Yeah, the tracks are really great and also deliver a good variety. Spa is a crazy high speed course

Also the physics engine plays well with the vertical component of the tracks, the best times you can only achieve if you make sure that you don't lose a second of acceleration when you're going downhill.

By the way, thank to everyone who added me, some of you are quite fast - some are not ;)

My racing grid is still a bit empty with bros, so please add me: GC-ID 'A One'

Push it, baby, push it real good :D

The players you're pitted against have their time around the same race, from the same starting position as you, recorded and applied to AI drivers. Thus, anytime you are starting in 22nd place against a room full of GC friends, all of them started in the same position as you; the back.

The more I play RR3, the more I miss bits and pieces for RR2. Lack of split times to have an idea of how far ahead the new position is particularly.

Also just had a race where [=]maks56[=] apparently cheated, he completed a lap of Maplethorpe Types Australasian Exposition Cup in 3 seconds (See attached screenshot)

Going back to play RR2 after playing RR3 is strange, game feels insanely fast like its actually running at double speed.

I'd spend a bit more and grab the Z4 M Coupé. It is one of the best cars you can get for the money, and it sure will help you moving forward in the game.

    Agreed.
I already have six cars and I can do that. I also have $470k and 295 gold (spent some 10 accidentally :p). I'm saving up for the Veyron and the gold for the Zonda R. These are top-spec cars, and I'm quite close of one of them.

I just wish they'd make a PAID version. I'm so sick of IAP, and EA is absolutely the greediest publisher out there :(

How does it stack up against the Shelby?

  11. Kind of reminds me of one of Lost Deputy's posts where he described the experience as looking for gold nuggets in dog dung. But I think the vast majority appreciates your position, and would love to have a great premium experience. Frankly, I was hoping this would be the greatest ios game ever, especially on hdmi tv, but now it falls into the ballpark of a good game, but not great due to some of the headaches.

Which is too bad really. But there is alot to appreciate about in this game, and since I am a casual gamer not a hardcore one like so many TA members are, have been having a lot of fun playing the good sides of it like the driving, graphics, and fun.

I do think though, that it is now the best FREEMIUM game on the market. So for value, in a way, you get a lot of value for free. I've enjoyed many other freemium games like Dead Trigger, Whale Tail, Major Mayhem, and Jetpack (even though I paid 99 cents for them! Haha). But this one is the best of the bunch, and you can play for hours with no money required.

So, yeah, it is what it is.

  12. So are you nominating yourself as President of the Real Racing 3 Defense Club anytime soon?

  13. Yeah, very good writeup. You pretty much progressed as I expected, except that you chose to buy a higher priced car instead of getting 3 cheaper cars to help escape the wait timers more. But for a serious racer like yourself, this may well be a better path to take, cause on day 2, you can get more cash by wins and get a better 3rd car.

And you are welcome for having me as your friend on gamecenter and earning tons of coins off of me, haha :). Since I am famous now, and such a big loserz, everyone seems to want to be my friend, coindiggers! Haha

I am more of a casual gamer, rarely play games seriously, in fact, rare that I play any game more than 15 minutes at a time. But I always have more than 500 games on my system, and just jump from game to game. I actually enjoy just posting and participating in the Toucharcade community more than gaming, often spending more time on TA than gaming.

But anyway, I personally don't play RR3 or most games for scores. I am looking for more of an arcade console type play, that's why I play on hdmi tv, cause it is almost impossible to have high scores on tv due to the controls.

So because of this, been playing with all the assists on, even though, I might try it a little with the assists off to see if my times will go up. That's why I do things like go through the grass, or ram cars to pass, or must push the throttle to max on turns; just to have an arcade like blast.

But yeah, I suck. Your lucky to have me as your friend, at least you are getting rich off of it! ;)

    Signed,

BMW Z4 M Coupe or Ford Shelby?

I hear all this ranting and raving about how good the BMW is, but I have just enough saved for the Shelby.

It's mind boggling how easy this game goes on cutting corners and how much it screws legit players with hacked cars whomping around the track.

TSM... Cheap way to not do Actual multiplayer :p

But that doesn't compare to this...

The worst thing that I saw so far has to be looking at cars with icons of babies in nappies, what is up with that!!??

BABIES DON'T RACE REAL CARS! :(

It's kind of funny though at the same time.... :DBut totally unrealistic

Real racing? Yeah sure, as real as the one year old driving the car I front of me... Cool.

I don't like the idea of racing boring square box avatars, this is about cars isn't it?

But still, it's funny at the same time :s :)

Funny, not in the good sence :p

Probably over 50 who play. It only happens in events where most of them are in

Hey yeah that's cool though that you've put as much time in with RR3 despite admitting how casual a gamer you are. Eli himself (Jared too), has claimed in recent podcasts that he's not really a serious iOS gamer at all. He mainly sees the platform as a quick diversion and that if he wants to spend serious time with a game it's on the PC or console. So even some of the folks here that you'd think would be passionate about the platform and play games to completion and stuff just aren't that invested in it. And that's cool, the platform is perfect for both types of gamers and even the mega casual gamers that don't even post on forums let alone know what games are out there worth playing. Honestly though, like you, I value a good community... which is why after much searching I ended up here. I have also been at a point in my life where I talked about games and stuff a lot more than I was able to play them. I have over 35K posts on IGN starting in 2001.

A tip to help you out... I use the assists too. Leave them all on except braking... turn that to Low and it improves the game quite a bit because it brakes for you but not so much that you can't finish off a slow down by sliding through the grass. Also on the controls, like Final Freeway 2R, switch to the wheel instead of tilt. My favorite is Wheel B which like FF2R puts the gas pedal on the bottom so it isn't blocking the screen so much. So a few tweaks and you could be a pretty average racer like me.

My goal in this game isn't to beat all my friends or whatever, just get golds in all the events. A tall order and one I'm sure to give up on given the number of events in the game... but still that's where my head is at.

  19. There are many ways to hack, and many hackers, just add friends on TSM that don't cheat.

And remove those that do cheat from your friend list. It's not like they need TSM players to play against anyway if they decided to cheat.
