Wow, make sure you get a long cable. Read the hdmi thread in the general section when you get time. It's great to see so many Toucharcade members giving it a try. It is a blast, yes, Eli would call it a tech demo, but I still love it.
We can never forget the contribution that your 25 foot HDMI cable did. LONG LIVE CONNECTORS 25 FOOT HDMI CABLE!!! Of course, we did our part of course
It's tragic that 'logic and reason' dictate that we return to the days of frequenting the arcade, now with a stack of moon-quarters. It's like the age of paying a small sum of money to own a game and play it whenever you like was a complete mirage!
so just wanted to clarify, because there is no cloud syncing between devices, there is no way transfer over garages one device to the other for cars purchased with in game currency and cars purchased when in game currency was bought via iap correct? only ones that would transfer over are ones purchased via the car packs? the car packs are the only restorable iaps right?
Yeah all I did was wreck my car as bad as I could. Nothing fell off after I went 130 into a wall :/ ehm... Yeah. 2 minutes in I could see the IAP set-up. Now I could easily overlook this but yeah... It was just fun totalling my car rofl.
Finally downloaded and played this game. I actually enjoy it very much. I've heard a lot of scary reviews over the course of the week, so I wasn't sure what to expect but I'm pleasantly surprised. I own both real racing and RR2. The graphics of RR3 are on par with RR2, maybe a little better but what I really like about this game is the different modes like Eliminate, drag race, etc... I like looking into the maintenance and repairs. The game is much more immersive than it's predecessors, and that's what sets it apart. Rip, if you're still active in this thread, you were right about this being a good game.
I need help. Deleted the Nz version of the game that I had, clicked on the free version in Canada, the icon with the status bar showed up, but it said waiting. Nothing else is waiting to be downloaded or updated, I've restarted my device - but it will not let me continue the download or delete the app. Any suggestions?
Tried it, absolutely hate it. I miss being able to enjoy the game I've paid a finite price for, instead of having to constantly manage how much money is pouring out my wallet just to be able to play without wallet-gouging timers. Sorry if everyone who for some reason *likes* games being ruined like this thinks this thread is just for you lot; it's not, people who hate it have valid opinions too, just like yours. I'm fine with you dismissing these opinions as those of a 'hater' (how teenage - are you all teenagers?) so long as you're fine with me thinking people like you give EA permission to ruin gaming.
This has happened to me before with other games. You say you restarted but did you do a hard reset by holding the power and home button until you see the Apple logo and then releasing? If not, do this first. Then try deleting again like you did before. Also, it can take a really long time for large games to download and they can stick in "waiting" for a while. Wait 20-30 minutes before giving up on it. Next option is to use iTunes on your computer to delete the app. I haven't done this in a while but you used to be able to by plugging your device in and then going to its app section. When you click on the app icon in the preview screen an X should pop up. Then try downloading RR3 to iTunes on your computer and then sync it to your device. Last resort would be to do a restore from backup to remove the unresponsive app.
I actually find this phenomenon adding to the challenge. It keeps your reflexes sharp and adds to the flavor in my opinion.
Well done on giving it ten minutes of your time. After you get your second car, and it takes NO real money and a tiny bit of effort, the game literally explodes open. I'm level 22, have $180,000 in the bank, 54 gold, and 5 cars (including the Porsche GT3 you play the intro race with). Haven't spent a penny on IAP. Winning, even just competing, in TSM races is the way to win more money via finishing bonuses. Get involved with the community here, enjoy the races. I have 54 folk from here on my GC list which makes every TSM event profitable, win or otherwise.
Joined Hey guys, I play this game for a while now, first on a jailbreaked iPhone and now on my iPad. It is a so much more immersive experience in the bigger screen. Anyway, after initially condemning the fermium-model, I have to say, that I really enjoy it and now do not even manage to play all my cars to exhaustion, because they last so long. They only sad story is, that I enjoy this game, but Firemonkeys won't make penny out of me, because there is no reason and no reasonability to pay real cash for fantasy 'gold coins'. But looking at the top grossing list, I think we will also see a real racing 4. I want to compete against some of you racing addicts, so please add me at Game Center: 'A One' Cheers!
I am disapointed. I expected this game to run perfectly on the latest hardware, but is does not. I have an iPad 4 and and experience frequent stuttering and jittering , no matter which view I use. Closed all background apps but still no fluent experience.. This should not happen ?
Well, UK iTunes store score is dipping ... was 4.5 * yesterday, today its down to 4* Most of the 1* reviews are being classed as 'most helpful' meaning they're all there all at the top (including mine)
Is that because you stutter while jittering? i5 works well but only Ive heard lower end ipads (ipad 1&2)of have had mixed results. Have you tried rebooting after its install? It should really be fine from all the reports Ive heard. Glad to see so many enjoying this game and if not inputting constructive critism. Better than I can say for myself then when it first landed a couple weeks ago *hate monster
