I thought the freemium stuff would be a lot worse than it is. I'm actually quite pleased with the game. It's a ton of fun and allows me to play in bite sized chunks, which is perfect for my iPad.
I'm playing using the bonnet cam. I haven't reset the ipad since installing, which might be an issue. It's not every track, just when things get really busy with cars and lens flare. It does look very purdy though! Thanks for the friends requests
There is zero reason to hack this game. Just join to huge community here and enter TSM races. Even if you don't win you can still earn huge bonus cash by finishing ahead of as many friends as you can. It's not unusual to earn over 10,000 from finishing ahead of friends alone.
Car I was aiming for is Lamborghini Aventador ( oh what a surprise ), now I can finally say I am his owner, or at least owner of his pixels in virtual world... Next goal is to fine tune it, only problem is that even first upgrade for his brakes costs more than Silvia uh.
I hear you. But dang it's frustrating early on to hit that first wall where oil, tires and brakes need servicing and you haven't earned enough $R's to get a second car. My first round of servicing was 20min. 20min I could have bypassed for 3 gold... but man gold early on is rare and I haven't even had a decent TSM race despite my roster of TA regs.
I suppose a lot of people don't like playing video games... I agree. Any of my GC friends with practically inpossible time will be deleted
I don't know... I reached $65,000 after about an hour and a half of awful driving based on my profile, more than enough to buy my second car. I didn't feel frustrated at all along the way. People made the freemium model to be way worse than it actually is.
Not particularly, but to be fair, EA did shorten the timers a few times before international release.
So far really digging this. I have a question about purchasing my next car (I started with the Silvia). I have around 65K and I'm deciding between the BMW 1 Series Coupe or the Mustang GT500. I still need to finish a lot of the "Pure Stock Challenge" races. Would I be allowed to use the GT500 in that since it's not one of the four cars listed there? If not, I'll probably pick up the BMW to help me finish those races... Thanks!
To be fair, Eli the early build was abysmal in terms of the timers. People getting their hands on it for the first time now have a vastly superior experience than what greeted us on first launch two weeks ago.
Yeah, there was a time when the waits got to be 20 hours, and it got alot of people mad that they went up instead of down, then there was the RR2 getting pulled mysteriously thing, repair times at that time had more waits outside of service timers, and other weird things going on. Plus the service bars are going down way slower than before, causing a longer time interval between servicing, and more enjoyment of the game. What we are getting now on the US release is much different than before, so the criticisms now are far different from before, and that should be taken into consideration alot. There is a night and day difference in what was then, and what is now. No fair to compare past remarks to a totally different version of the game, especially when they can do stealth updates at anytime they want, and bring us back to the glory days of 20 hour waits. If they do that Eli, the haterz will be back in a mad swarm again, assuming there are even a lot of serious gamers playing at that time, cause this game is going to be hard to keep on our systems with no icloud and 2 gb disk sizes.
Yeah I updated to v1.0.2 international from v1.0 NZ and the waiting times are still the same. Plus I don't have to wait for repairs anymore
Wait timers changed via stealth updates at any time, usually it seemed like every 2 days or so before. Updates did not seem to affect wait times, however, the last update seemed to have removed wait timers from repairs. Also, I think too on the update, the service bars are going down a lot slower than before. Before, I could play 1 hour and had to service and repair, now it is taking much much longer. The service bars probably had some adjustments too on the last update, so not only are wait times for servicing shorter now, but it is taking longer for a need to service. So a double bonus, if you know what I mean. So a drastic improvement, and I thought it would be this way after all the backlash over the original versions.
