Yeah, I was kinda hoping to try this from RR2 on airplay hdmi, but unfortunately, it's not here in RR3.
I think some people on my friends list from here or FM have hacked it or something as well. I've seen some Endurance runs with a first place 5x what I'm capable of doing with the same car, maxed out. That has to be BS.
It's always been that way ever since release days ago in NZ. Also, many people adjust their system clocks to get around the wait timers. So yeah, I kinda ignore the TSM times of a lot of people, cause there are many players who just have infinite money and no wait times. What can you do.
The Shelby is a great car for one early series and one further down the list, and its not too expensive. Bimmers are ultra competitive in the first couple series and are worth their cost because of what they recoup when playing against GC friends. I would go in one of those directions. You'll need some coin either way...the best way to earn with what you have is probably beating friends with your Focus, as there are so many to beat in the early races, or to compete with the higher end cars and shoot for trophies.
Shouldn't take all that long Night. A good player like you should be able to get a car an hour or so in the beginning levels, so knowing you, you may have 3 cars in the first night. Then the game is much more enjoyable. Problem is, many players might not read boards like this, and stick to just upgrading one car only, and get stuck with huge wait times. But if you take all of our advice, I think since you are a pretty serious gamer, you will have 3 cars in the first day easy.
If any other douchebags are going to come in here and brag about hacking the game, do me a favor and post your GC name so I can save the trouble of having to look for it when kick you off my list. *eating my words*
Interesting prediction. I'll let you know how it goes. I gave the game a quick few minutes to play through the intro race and then the first real race. Managed Gold in the real one despite going off road a few too many times because I turned the assists off. I went ahead and did the repairs since they were cheap and instantaneous. It'll probably be tonight before I put any serious time into it. Not sure I'll bother with HDMI'ing it tonight, I don't think I'll be in a room by my self with a tv long enough for it.
Well, I had a play on his tonight and I was full of trepidation after all the noise about the timers. I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I was pleasantly surprised at their impact on my play. I played for around 6 or 7 races, just repairing the big problems on my Silvia before having to do some maintenance. 10 minutes later I was back, raced a few more before another set of maintenance came up. Decided to buy the starter pack for the Z4, and soon after I had enough R$ for the shelby as well. So in around an hours play I had 3 cars for the grand total of £1.49. Now there's always something to do. I'm struggling on some tracks but loving those I know already (especially Brands Hatch). The game looks amazing and each car has a different feel which is great. I am having a few performance issues - some FPS drops - even on my iPad 4. Hope they improve these in the future. The crashing sounds are pretty bad too, quite annoying considering the quality of the rest of the game. Feel free to add me on GC if you play fair and for fun (hackers will be deleted pdq) - my name's the same here as there.
Really? Wow, would have expected the ipad 4 to run this super clean. Are you playing in cockpit view? On my ipad 3, the cockpit view is sluggish, but all other views work fine, maybe cockpit views are bad on all ipads. Have you tried the other views? Do you get framerate issues? Not experienced any frame rate drops on my iPad 4th gen. Not tried anything else than Cockpit or 3rd person view though.
