Always get the best you can ... read the stats on the cars to make your choice ... some will be balanced for grip, some for speed ... pick the one thats the best overall Some events need out and out power more than handling... others opposite ... i've got a right mixed bag now of cars but a lot of BWM's
Real Racing 3 First Impressions on iPhone 5!Take a look if you want to see how it plays on the iPhone 5!I also talk about some of the features that the game offers but also about the stupid freemium model! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XI6mwkvWYI
Great game, i get this thing a few days ago during the TSM at 50%, every upgrade cost an eye, but its worth the money...add me to GC: GoDHiM
Since I've been pretty happy with the RR series so far, RR3 turns out to be really disappointing. They got rid of iOS standards like iCloud (a proper dev can integrate both iCloud and their own cloud save system, but this is an EA move), AirPlay and other things which worked in the prior RR games, and got an aggressive IAP system in exchange for a missing base price (which is no fair exchange imo). All that got better is the graphics, nothing else (TSM considered, it should be an option when WIFI/internet connection was weak, but never a replacement for actual realtime multiplayer), and the graphics in this game is purely described by the engine and nothing more. There is nothing exceptional about it besides Firemonkeys having it first, and it really just seems like a tweaked RR2 engine overhaul. At least EA gave us in NFS:MW the option to join Origin, here it is a must. EA would have done fine both by the players and the devs to give it a $9.99 pricing and cash in a great revenue on top. One should really play this one and compare it to RR2 in actual functionality and gameplay, BESIDES the graphics. It's so not hot.
That glass breaking sound is definitely annoying and as you say sounds like it came from a bar fight. TSM does not race exactly as the person raced in the game. Only the final time is important, the racing lines etc are determined by the computer, not historical archives of exactly how you drove.
So I wonder if say someone deletes this game in two weeks due to disk space concerns, whether their data will still be there after reloading after an update. And I wonder too if this only might pertain only to people that are buying inapps now, maybe it only saves after an inapp purchase. Kind of troubling when there is no icloud with such a huge disk size and the huge potential to buy lots of inapps with no way to save to icloud. I sure hope they do something soon.
Was there any word on putting Airplay back in? I have to admit, this was my favorite feature as a casual player, and its the only way I played the game. Timers don't bother me much, I don't sit on the game longer than 10 minutes at a time, but the lack of Airplay does seem like a serious step back.
Wow....that is incredible.... not meaning to offend, but why didn't you buy another game console or just buy a lot more iOS games? Also, shout out to the 12 people who sent me a GC friend request in the last 8 hours. How many have you had Connector?
You don't like playing it in tv mirrored mode? I play it exclusively on mirrored hdmt tv, and it plays great. I kind of think airplay fullscreen games are going extinct with EA, NFS Most Wanted and RR3, both don't support airplay fullscreen. I think part if the problem now is airplay can be 1080p resolution, and our idevices can not handle the framerates, even on an ipad 4. The older airplay games were all 720p, so didn't need as much horsepower. It is really too bad, but airplay fullscreen seems to used less often now, but on the flipside, mirrored games are just awesome in 1080p with no lag or delay, and one can use the various zoom modes on their tvs to get fullscreen.
Ok,game is out,so i download it from App Store.Game work's perfect. Thanks Firemonkeys for still support Ipod Touch 4g
I prefer native Airplay so that its full screen and not stretched out or missing part of the screen due to cropping. Also, I'm pretty sure the video output resolution can be determined on the dev side, so 720p is perfectly acceptable to me. Sad, Airplay is still a staple in GL games, as it was in RR.
There are 266 pages in this thread, but why cant I get past 260? Been enjoying the game for the past 24 hours. Its great, although the wait times can be rather frustrating along with the constant please buy some coins hints. Also, add me in game center! Name is Doelago.
