Why would this surprise you? You just described Real Racing 1. You just described the first iteration of Real Racing to an absolute tee. Sterile is the absolute perfect way to describe Real Racing. Technically impressive, yet somehow dormant. Real Racing is to the iPhone what Grand Theft Auto 4 is the 360.
Can someone who purchased the game confirm? That's the only thing holding me back from purchase in two hours.
Nope, I have a legit version. Although my iPhone IS jailbroken so maybe it's a conflict somewhere, just seems weird to only have an issue on a single car though. I also noticed that when the game is set to auto accelerate and brake the screen still dims since you aren't tapping it.
If you don't like the slower paced more realistic racing games, then I can understand you not liking it. However if that isn't the case, then I really don't see why you aren't enjoying it. The sound is fine for me, and each car seems to have a different engine noise which is good. The collisions have been improved from the first game. Crashing at 90mph head on into a barrier will slow you down by a lot, and the little nudges work well. And I don't know why you're having frame rate issues, you have the latest iPod Touch after all. Suggestions: - Reboot your iPod Touch by holding the power and home buttons together, keep on holding them until the screen turns off and on again. Release the buttons when you see the Apple Logo. - Switch the controls to manual brake and accelerate with accelerometer steering. Turn the auto-brake down, but remember to brake in the corners (especially with the faster cars). - Turn the anti-skid off if you want it to feel more realistic. - Try not to crash. Spend time perfecting your corner-taking. Buy the game. Only 1 car is glitched, the other 29 are fine. It'll most likely get fixed in an update anyway.
My device is 4.1 official non jailbroken. I bought a NZ ebay card online, so i can download these games early. I have a proof of purchase receipt. And besides, i heard this rumor that Gamecenter doesnt work for games which are pirated, im not sure, but i think this game does use gamecenter
Are there any plans announced to acquire more licenses of other cars? Will other car manufacturers wait to see how this game does before they go ahead with it or does it even matter? Having damage on vehicles always bugs car makers and I don't get it. As long as the car performs to its specifications whats the difference? but really, will there be more?
Who knows. I would count on Firemint to get right on fixing any bugs. They have been great about continuing to polish and add features to RR1 and Flight Control.
I suspect future DLC to include a few cars and perhaps a track or two along with continuous bug fixes.
+1 to that. Heck, Firemint have an update for Real Racing 1 submitted that adds 4 player online matches and unlocks based on cloud stats (incase you lose the data on your device)
My boys aren't feeling well so its off to bed for all of us. Don't worry Firemint - you'll get my tenner soon enough!
Ferrari has a pretty bad track record as far as licensing goes. Audis seems like an easy addition (especially with VW already in the game, and your previous history with VW), and Lamborghinis as well (being wholly owned by VW). Looking forward to the R8 and the Gallardos in future [paid?] DLCs! [And maybe Ferraris as well!]
I don't know about this, I searched some of the sites saying this too and it seems this has been happening to people who have bought the app plus those who have cracked it as well. And some are even saying their cracked versions work better Although, it won't be stopping me from buying this game. Also, in my wanderings around the internet, I have found that YouSuckDude has been pirating all the games released so far. So you have an NZ account do you And I thought by now, the developers would have a anti-piracy code in there somewhere to stop all this nonsense. I wan't some of these too. I would gladly pay 99c for a Reventon
