framerate is awful on iphone4 now and I dont really see those improvments in graphics either after last updates.I think it made it worse.must be electronic arts or apple way of bullshiting people "its much better now" when its not. on iphone4s framerate its very good though but battery goes down faster. ps:"Firemint doesn't put the heart in this anymore"its electronics arts now maybe thats why.
We've boosted the framerate back up to what it should be for the iPhone 4, see here for details. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hey Firemint Sam - Two things please. The -here- link in your post didn't successfully link to anything - I got an 'invalid link' message. Try this? http://forums.firemint.com/showthread.php?754-Poor-performance-on-iPhone-4-in-1.12-1.12.01-updates And I read to access the update, we just launch the game while connected to WiFi and the update is downloaded directly. So no update submitted to Apple for this - nice!!! I've had RR and RR2 on my phone since each launched and love 'em. Would love to see smoother performance
so how do you recover from sliding sideways when you hit a wall too hard, I've seen people straighten out their cars immediately when playing online
Yep, my bad - sorry for the broken link! Correct, it's just a small change accessed via our servers. Connect and you'll grab it, should see an improvement of around 6-10 fps on iPhone 4.
how can you tell if the update has been installed? I've launched while connected to wifi, but the menus and frame rate are still extremely laggy
Wtf is up with the new update? I have over 1.5 GB open on my device and the game is 436MB. Even if the game size is doubled (so enough space is there to install), it still wouldn't be 1GB. What do I do? EDIT: Finally got it installed. Damn.
Did they remove the motion blur in replay mode (it was never there when racing anyway) from iPhone 4? If so, shame on you Firemint. You just keep ruining the game ever since EA bought you. +1 It's now never as smooth as in its early days.
Funny this should. One up again. Just yesterday I opened my Racers folder and pick real racing over real racing 2 to play. I wanted the smoothness of real racing that is now absent from 2. 2 still rules the racing roost on my iPhone 4, but shame the frame rate has dropped with recent iOS updates. EDIT: Just loaded up the game and it's smooooth for me now. Back to RR2! I'm on iPhone 4.
I'm sure this has been asked before but can't go through all 150+ pages of posts. RR 2 supports iPod Touch 2Gs, but does anyone who has one know how it performs? Is the framerate acceptable?
Works excellent. Multiplayer is a bit sluggish but that's more because of the GC server rather than the device, as I've seen the same sluggishness in newer devices, too. This is the only game I would say is a MUST-get for ANYONE.
don't learn it the hard way like i did, just complete every championship. i did every single race, not knowing i just had to do every championship, instead of every race
Favorite car? I'm curious on what's people's favorite cars in real racing 2. My favorites are the 1995 mclaren f1 gtr, 2010 corvette c6.r, 2010 jaguar xkr gt, and the 2006 bmw z4 m coupe. What's yours?
Firemint are in the process of developing a new racer but it's not known if its Real Racing 3 or a new Need for Speed.
hi, i may be a little too late to this game but 'medium' is a little easy. especially because of the 'p' system, by the time you qualify for a new race the game forces you to have a good car and i just blast past most cars. 'hard' is decent and fun and actually requires you to take at least more than 1 try each race to win. i won't even talk about 'easy'. anyway. point is. please make one more harder option, add in 'insane' or something.
