So, even if one of the players using the same Game Center account finishes last in the same race, it's possible for the same account to accumulate 50 multiplayer points provided that someone in that race using that nickname finishes first? In my opinion, if two or more people can race in the same online multiplayer match, then the *lowest* result among them ought to get added, not the highest. Otherwise the ranking system is all the more skewed. That plus the "wallriding exploit" subtracts severely from the semi-legit console status for which this series seemed to be heading. Hopefully Real Racing 3 will improve in that regard given that Real Racing 2 updates haven't addressed such things in the least.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, we value all of them equally. As I've mentioned we are working to address the wallriding issue, as well as some other multiplayer issues in the next update. Thank you for your patience.
It's good to know that the next update will fix at least the wallriding exploit, if your reply can be taken as a confirmation of such. Afterwards, it would advisable that the time trial leaderboards be reset in order to accommodate the possibility of those players not using the previously available exploit being able to compete on fair ground. As it stands, there are many times posted to Game Center and Cloudcell that will not be possible to obtain once the upcoming update removes the exploit.
Yeah, changing the tracks in any way obviously has repercussions on the time trial leaderboards which is why we need to be very careful about what we do with it. While we have full control over the Cloudcell leaderboards, unfortunately I don't think developers have much control over the Game Center leaderboards. I'm pretty sure devs don't have the ability to remove entries from them. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Even if game developers don't currently have the ability to remove the entries from Game Center, Apple will surely either change that policy in the near future, or allow developers to submit requests for complete list resets in cases such as Real Racing 2, which we've just agreed warrants such treatment; this is likely to happen given that Apple purportedly intends Game Center to serve as valid virtual scoreboard for their iOS games. One easy solution expected to leave the fewest people embittered would be to define a new set of RR2 and RR2HD leaderboards that only accept Cloudcell and Game Center submissions from the first available update version shown to be free from these unreal and partly game-breaking exploits; of course, Apple would also need to increase the maximum number of leader boards - something that must already be on their to-do list.
Interesting that you would use that particular user "1jackhammer1" in your example. Not sure what the process is to "report" a player that abuses the process, but that player in particular has his cars or ID hacked so that the McLaren F1 GTR regularly races in the lower division of multi-player. NOt sure what Firemint could do regarding someone hacking their cars to gain an advantage, but it happens regularly with this user.
Did anyone experience choppy gameplay today? The cars were blinking like crazy then later the cars were jumping back and forth. Was it my internet connection problem or was it the server?
I occasionally get that happen too. I just quit the race and go to the next, usually there's no problem. I was on Arcana last night and TimLC did some great wall riding, he fininshed a good 15 seconds ahead of the rest of us.
I tried this morning again and it was better but the cars were still jumping. I suspect if it is my new router. It is faster than my old one and I thought it was doing just fine right after the installation. I will have to switch it out and see if the problem still persists.
I put the old router on but it's still doing the same thing. It must be the server. For some reason I don't see the cheaters any more.
This is the must play game for the racing game lovers like me. It is so realistic that you can feel that you are seeing any live video. The quality is so good of sound also.
