I'm not too sure, haven't tried them out - is this something you've heard other people have had success with? The most effective way to make sure performance is at it's best is usually by doing a reboot and making sure no other apps are running/updating/installing.
I've completed the career mode a couple days after this game was released and now happy again that Firemint has blessed us with an update (although still waiting for more expensive cars or even DLC). I found one weird bug though. In the Pro Circuit, I dived into the NRGEE 6Cyl Cup and one of the requirements is to finish the Balladonia Showdown. I have finished Balladonia weeks ago and now its asking me to do the race again. Good thing I haven't sold my Camaro GS or else I'd have to buy and upgrade that car again. Just a minor bug I thought I'd mention so Firemint can do something about it on the next update. Once again, thanks for the additional content Firemint and looking forward for more.
No, but I always hear from my friends that the easiest way to get the best performance is by turning off the audio. However, I don't notice much improvement in Real Racing probably due to it being a zero volume instead of completely off.. so in a way it seems like the audio is still playing in the background but just not heard? Anyway I've always rebooted my iPhone 4 and made sure no other background app is running.. an old habit from my iPhone 3G
On my 3GS, the game feels faster and smoother with umpire cam than with the cockpit display. That said, the game plays, for me, a tad easier in cockpit view because everything is happening a touch slower. I'm playing medium difficulty with brake assist on and usually finish 3rd - 6th or so, including a slide off the track at some point. I'm starting 16th. And always be sure you are using a car at the top of the allowable range for the event, unless you want added challenge. One way to get an easier Intermediate difficulty is to set the game to Easy and not use top-speced cars.
New update and still no separate class competition with online games, so this game continue being the 1995 Real McLaren Racing... I can't compete with my favourites cars. Pity
They have stated before that they are working on it. Im really hoping that it will be a showcase app for the ipad2 much like how infinity blade was for gamecenter at the apple press event. That just my 2 cents though
Firemint, I'd pay money for you guys to replace the RR1 car engine sounds/crowds with more realistic/less muffled ones. Lots and lots of money :O

Well, I'm sure that on these forums, on your support site, and in your App Store reviews, it's pretty clear we want new cars. I think more than enough people feel the same way that perhaps you guys can license some new exotic cars?
Agreeing with this. I don't even care if they're IAPs. Something like 99c for a 6cyl cars like Porsche Carrera S or $1.99 for GT cars like a SLS AMG. Or something. All I know is, I have $14 gift card on my iTunes store that I got for free and I don't know what to buy with it.

iTunes ratings continue to be 4.5+. To anyone reading this thread wondering to purchase or not, I would say Yes and not fret over the concerns about the game expressed in this thread. The game is very, very good. IMHO.

great game this, number of vehciles is small so ofc any boost would be appreciated. that said im not into supercars as such, just gimme the good old rs2000 mk5 pls, or rs turbo!
funny collision system, almost always after collision car is turned 180°. ai is a bit cheater, sometimes ai cars get too much speed boost. otherwise excellent graphic, very good controls and nice maps.
Collision physics are definitely an issue in this game, but AI cars do not get a "speed boost". You simply are coming out of a turn too slowly, or are using a pretty crappy car for the event.
Ha yeah, the sounds really don't match up with the rest of how awesome the game is. I understand it'd take quite a bit of time, but it'd make the game 10x better in my opinion.
