i've never driven a car before, so can someone just quickly explain to me what the steering and braking assists are and what is recommended for them? and also what car do you recommend buying second (after the startup car)?
I'd say turn off all assitance, it's just a mess and gets in the way. Learn when to coast into a corner and when to brake.. Sometimes if you're taking a corner too fast, just lay off the gas and you'll slow down to make a perfect turn. Rarely should you brake INTO a turn.. cuz you'll most likely just slide. Brake before the turn and coast the rest of the way then hit the gas when you're through. I went VW to Ford Focus as my 2nd car.
why does the brake make no sound, this is a little tricky to get down from 280 Km/h to 130 to take a curve, since I have no hardwarebuttons an acustical signal would be cool
Have been playing RR2 for a while now and as a long-time player of RR1, I would like to see two changes to RR2. The difficulty seems harder than RR1 and the gap between Easy and Medium is wider than I would like. I enjoyed RR1 on B class and I can't seem to find the sweet spot for me with RR2. Perhaps 5 difficulty levels to offer a range for both the more casual player (like me) and those who want the added challenge? Second, I'm using a 3GS and would like to see the detail turned down a bit and the framerate increased a bit. I find Ridge Racer and RR1 to have it just right, IMHO. The detail comes through as looking 'peppery' at times. I wouldprefer a cleaner, smoother image. That said, this and RR1 remain my racers of choice
About the non-retina graphics, I've created a topic in Firemint's support forum (here). Maybe you could post there so the developpers could be aware of that point ?
SOme of them are, and it's a lot cheaper to use older sounds than to compose, and record brand new ones.
Can Firemint give us any update on what they're working on right now? It's been a bit quiet recently...too quiet.
yah hate they need to fix how the car turns in the opposite direction you tilt (no matter which way you end up facing) until you regain control
