    Try this:
Close Real Racing 2 (even remove it from the multitasking bar)
Launch Game Center, then launch Real Racing 2
And make sure you're online obviously :p

What rewards do you get from do qualifiers? I never do them and want to know if I'm missing something big.

Nothing. You get 20 rep if you get 1st, 15 rep if you get 2nd, and 10 rep if you get 1st. The main point of qualifiers is to get a better starting position. But considering the ease of the Easy and Medium difficulties, you really should only waste your time on this on the Hard difficulty.

The multiplayer needs better matchmaking. I always get matched with some people that have McLarens when I have a Nissan 350Z and get pwned.

It should auto-detect your vehicle and select other players using a similar class.

Theres a pretty big flaw on the king's speedway, if you ride the wall (aka just skim the wall) the whole time then your car loses no speed on the turns. I can take them at 238 in the gt-r without losing any speed, beats all the 1995 mclaren f1's by like 2 seconds in online races...

I don't know about you guys, but I've never found that Nascar track anything remotely resembling the word: "fun".

how do you get the achievement whose description is "achieve gold in a championship race from 16th position"? because I achieved gold in a championship race from 16th position multiple times and still no achievement

Championship races are the events that are part of a series of events. For example, the TA Pro Series is composed of races on 4 different maps. Get gold after starting in 16th place in one of those maps and you should get the award. You won't get the award if you're simply doing a one-race event like an elimination or something.

I did all five races in the league of legends championship, finishing in first and starting from 16th in all of them and didn't get it

    TOO RESTRICTED

Thanks for an answer, Firemint. :-( It seems that they only reply to sweet talk.

I always have to tap away four or five dialog screens because of disabled Game Center. Then it crashes to homescreen one or two times! (iPhone 4, iOS 4.2.1, never jailbroken, rebooted several times, RR2 v. 1.01). Sometimes I even have to put RR2 out of multitasking bar and start completely from new. That needs five minutes or so. Five minutes to start a game! What is this?! Windows 95 or what?!

And even when it runs it will stay on "Welcome Guest" for a long time. I have to go to Menu, Pitlane, Profile, Stats, Player Settings (remember that!) several times to have my player name recognized (Habakuk) and get my savings and stats back. Ten minutes to start a game!!!

Other than that this game is just frustrating!!! The system with careers, championships, events, races, tiers, rep, quick races, P-points, time trials, qualifiers, achievements and so on is much too complicated. I just wanted to drive a race and not become an academic manager. Yes, there is an option "Quick Race", but—guess what?—almost all "Quick Races" are RESTRICTED unless you make/absolve career.

The manual and everything is only in English. Competitor and racing software developer Gameloft has at least all the written texts in several languages. The RR manual (simple text) needs way too much loading time.

I've saved a long and hard time (two or three hours) for a BMW (I can't sustain the cheap brands Volkswagen and Volvo) and now I can't use it because it has too many "P"-points (whatever that is) for the career races. All career races are RESTRICTED (I hate that word)—I can only do two races with two Fords and Mustangs in it. That was it…

What shall I do now? Clear all stats and start from the very beginning? Oh no! I can't sell the BMW because it's my only car! I am stuck now with some time trials and quick races. Career (devs call it "the heart of RR") seems to be finished for me after two lousy hours of gameplay. I want my money back!

Why let they buy me an expensive car and then I can't make use of it in career? Man that's so STUPID!!! Hard to believe. They should recommend some cars that are good for my career. This forum and the official support forum is full with questions: "What car should I get?" You're done if you choose the wrong car! Before you touch/buy/sell/drive anything in RR: Learn to understand and calculate "P-points".

There are serious frame drops during races (game stutters, freezes for a short time). Mostly at the crucial first curves. That's a real drawback for such an expensive game! It disturbs very much because you have to watch and drive very exactly.

Difficulty is not balanced. "Easy" is too easy and "Medium" is too hard. Mentioned several times in this thread. That is very bad. I would call me an experienced racing gamer.

In RR1 I could attach images (jpg) for decoration of cars. That nice feature seems to be gone in RR2. :-(

Mostly of the time you'll find yourself driving with no bumper or a hanging bumper. Not very pretty to watch. No need for watching tv replays or uploading painful views of your car to YouTube.

Online races are frustrating as well with those F1 drivers. You have no chance. Unusable and unfair as long you have no F1 car.

The leaderboards (very long loading times) are showing up some unknown guys but never my player name (even when I tap on "Find Me"). Mentioned several times in this thread. Any solution for this heavy bug? Unreliable leaderboards! So what I am working for? Just for fun? ;) I thought this is the REAL thing…

The races with 16 combatants could be great, but altogether RR2 is frustrating. Asphalt 6 is so much more fun! At least I can drive and don't need to mess around so much with the beloved RESTRICTIONS and complicated systems.

Unbelievable that RR2 has good ratings here at tA. Not recommended by me (one star out of five) until it gets a major update. It seems that they hurried sleazy to get the game ready for sale on x-mas. When they fix the bugs and UNRESTRICT the game a bit maybe I'll try it again.

When you compare the races with Asphalt 6 you feel Real Racing like running in slow motion. And now I need to take a gulp of nitro and calm down. :) Adrenaline!

I think you've got to do the qualifers for that achievement.
Drive as bad as you can to get the worst timing so you can start the championship from the 16th position.
    It worked for me.

    No. You are not.

If you think medium is too hard you are most definitely not an experienced racing gamer. Try driving proper racing lines and TURN OFF ALL BREAKING helpers. Following these two rules you can very easily beat the AI on medium level.

And how about giving Firemint a little break, eh? It is Christmas holidays for ****s sake!

.. or perhaps you're just an impatient little brat?

I made my career (until it stopped with the damn BMW) on medium because I feel that I am an experienced game racer. But it's clear for me that medium is too hard for average or casual gamers. And easy is way too easy and just boring after 15 minutes for everyone.

Well they charged off my hard earned money without any little break.

Thanks for dropping names on tA users. Very polite!

Can you win a race with control method 1 (all assists, auto accelerate and braking on)?

Cause I just can't seem to place higher than 7th. First race with the red Volvo (yes I am an arcade racer player). :(

What's with you? I find hard to be a decent difficulty, medium to be easy, and easy to be just dumb.

    Learn how to drive.

    • Don't drift on turns or anywhere. Use your BRAKES on turns. If you don't you'll lose a lot of speed drifting or going into the grass. About 2 seconds before reaching the turn, hit the brakes gradually and turn. Half way through the turn let go of the brakes but don't accelerate. 2/3 way through the turn point your car toward the next straight-way and begin to accelerate.
    • Turn all assists off.
    • Accelerate as much as you can on straight roads and start accelerating about 2/3 way through a turn
    • Don't crash! If you see a wall, slow down! Walls unfortunately don't help you go faster.
    • Look in the rear view mirror and block the way of other racers.

Reportedly some tracks allow for very unRealistic handling of sharp turns, and in some cases the fastest trial times for certain tracks (e.g. someone claimed top speed with the F1 on King's Speedway using that trick). It's a relief to know that some of the craziest times may have employed this approach along with the more traditional corner cutting that RR2 allows (which I never do intentionally), although without proof there would be no way to know, as may also be case with driving assists under certain conditions.
