I can keep up or pass them if they start them some what near me. But when four of them start in the front and I'm placed between 10 to 14, it's very hard to catch up since I aways have to fight my way in the pile up that ensues at every corner. The fact is, the people that start at 1st to 4th place have a serious advantage as they don't have many cars to avoid and pass in corners. I dont understand why the game tends to start me in last position almost every time. Even if I came 3rd in the previous race, playing with the same group, it still places me last at the starting line.
Ok here's some ideas for the game. Multiplayer - Start 4 people per line so there are 4 lines of cars close to each other so it atleast makes the game fairer. - Handicaps, Those that have won more races should start further back than those that haven't. - Leagues, I was thinking of a idea. Wright so people get put in leagues depending on how good they are. In the League you get match up against another person and the you do a time trial for a circuit. You both get 1 chance who ever gets the fastest time wins. You have a week to do the time trial other wise the other person wins. If you both forget to do it its a draw. You do this for 15 weeks against 15 people in your league. At the end of 15 weeks the guy with the most points win. You get 4 Points for winning against some one and 2 for a Draw. Career \ - I have noticed in Qualifiers before big races that the opponents are allot faster than they actually are in the races. I know that you have to counter in that they are up against other cars in the actual race but the time difference between there qualifiers and race laps are pretty big. - I would like to see the option to change to a few different map styles in the races. Quite often i would have like to see a full map of the course during a race. - Car Customization, I would love to be able to change the labels on the side of my car. The colours of the rims, the basic look of the car, that would be awesome. Ok they are only some of my ideas but i didnt want to have to go on all day. Thanks Triggywiggy
I like your ideas. I think bumping up the frame rate so it's on par with RR1 would also be very good.
Hey guys, just thought I'd mention that we're giving away three promo codes, here's the related Touch Arcade thread: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=78155
Allright some more ideas now. only for the career mode though - Pit stops, Possibly there could be a new game mode in career were you are a V8 Supercar and you do these long races, Not to long about 20 laps. But during the races there are Pit stops were you are required to slow down, If you dont you get penalised and so on. And with the Pit stops you are required to unscrew the tires and fill it up yourself. - Another Idea, Well i noticed that when other cars part fall of they scatter across the track. But at the moment they dont effect us, Maybe they could slow us down. Or maybe the inclusion of a damage bar that shows how much damage you have and how much more you can take before you break down. On the subject of a Damage Bar, Maybe that damage stays on the car and at the end of a race if you inflicted a certain amount of damage you could go to a repair shop in the menu and pay for maintenance. - Last idea for now. Possibly the game could be a bit harder as at the moment im in the last race of the game and im beating them by about 12 seconds.
Another idea, -You know how there is a thing that flashes up showing how much seconds you are ahead or behind the other cars. Maybe that could stay up so you can always tell. Oh and about the difficulty in the last race of the game i managed to lap about 3 cars.
VGA-out support?! If not, please consider adding this in. It would be more than awesome to play in on really big screen.
I actually like the pit stop idea. That would be pretty sweet if I could change my corvett tires. As far as the game being too easy. I dont know about that since I had to switch from medium to easy because I could barely win any race on medium. As someone has pointed out before, easy is too easy. Medium for me was just too hard. So if I may ask, on what difficulty are you playing? To Sam from firemint: Can you guys please add classes or divisions online so I can have better more fair races. At the moment these F1s take over every GT race.
Im on Medium but i found that to Easy. And Difficult is to hard. Me myself would like a Medium-Difficult Difficulty. Maybe you guys should ask for a Easy-Medium Difficulty
One more thing that is driving me crazy with the online gameplay is the lack of accuracy. When I get lucky enough to not have any MCLaren F1 in a race, I'll get to first position and clearly see my car cross the finish line first then an opponent who was right on my taill will cross it about 1 second later. First the game says I'm first. Then when it goes to the next screen which shows the time of each opponent, suddenly I'm second. When I watch the replay fully knowing the opponent DID NOT pass me right before the finish line, it confirms my sentiments, then the game shows me 1st again when the replay is over.
We're always looking into ways we can make multiplayer better, thanks for the suggestion. On a related note... We've just done a server side update for the Real Racing 2 multiplayer mode. The update stops players from driving backwards/standing still for extended periods, which was ruining the multiplayer experience for many players. We'll be making further changes in a full game update later on that will further improve the multiplayer experience for everyone. Thanks for the feedback!
I guess difficulty is very much depending on how many racing games, particularly simulators, you have played. I find even the hard difficulty not very challenging, unless I on purpose select an underpowered car and/or don't tune my vehicle. I play with all aids off, accelerating and breaking myself. Luckily this is no where near as easy as GT academy (which is simply ridiculously easy) so it can still be a bit of a challenge. Personally I don't understand how anybody can think the medium difficulty is too hard but I do have many years of playing racing simulators under my belt. The best advice I can give anybody who thinks the game is too hard is this: - Learn proper racing lines (doing this will almost guarantee you win, always) - Slow in, fast out of corners - Take it easy the first few corners! The computer AI is eventually very easy to pass if you put some thought into your moves instead of a silly mad dash Perhaps try turning off the aids? I found the automatic breaking ridiculous.. much worse than what you can do yourself. Having it turned on will slow you down considerably. Cheers!
Good thought. My father had a car accident yesterday. Some jerk went on his side and front collided.Thank to god that my father got minor injuries.
