I like your enthusiasm but please, don't ban anyone! We're still investigating the issue. If anyone that has seen the issue could get in contact with us we'd really appreciate it. Feel free to PM me here on Touch Arcade any time.
Nope, I just updated and I still don't have my pacemaker achievement. The leaderboard still doesn't show up sometimes for me when I finish a race and I'm under top 500. Guess we will have to wait some more...
About GT Racing Motor Academy and Real Racing, I am adding my gain of salt: I think there was a thread of of GTRMA that I prefer Real Racing, and it is still the case. GTRMA is more or less like a buffet to me: full of different types of races and cars (and you know where the idea comes from), normal, drag, rally, and some really funny game mode (like knock out races). The amount of cars are there to keep many happy and the career mode, well, keeps you going back for the gold cups. The tracks are fun in my eyes (e.g. Old Town). However, I still prefer RR/RR2. RR gives me the mode I want to race in, and I can turn off all the assist and enjoy some thrilling driving experience, you need some techniques learnt from other serious racing games, some time, to get good results. May be I am just a lame driver, in GTRMA I cannot really control those powerful MR/FR cars without turning at least one assist on and some races rely more luck than technique. To be fair, I still have not tried those FR/MR muscles in RR2 to give a good comparison.
Updated and the brake in Control E is still not widened. *sigh* Thread on the Firemint support site about this.
Thanks for the update. Any chance the photo editor gets implemented down the line? I feel the only thing I lack really in playing RR2 is the personalization of my vehicle...
Well, they're entitled to their opinion. But the thing I hate is that Shift fans will always go silent when I ask why they enjoy the game. Either that, or they'll just say "Shift is a good game" without an explanation.
Good sensation of speeds, good car selections with (small) customization, good maps, varied gameplay selection with an extra challenge if you try to work on getting all the stars, etc, etc. I can't imagine why anyone would think it's anything but good. It's a nice arcady racer if that ain't your thing then that's cool but the game is not bad.
Bug fix update, released within a week. Not bad! Comparing to the recent big releases: Aralon - within the first day, and small content update by the week. Dungeon Defenders - HUGE update planned, but apparently an "update" has been released for the Android version, and can be expected sometime around the new year. Infinity Blade - decent content update within 2 weeks, high amount of polish and just about bug-free from the release. With promises of more! All of Gameloft's titles - nothing Let's see how quick RR2 can roll out with their first [real] content update.
I always had problems with syncing in Real Racing 1. Are these issues fixed in RR 2? - When you reinstall the game, everything is lost. The game was not able to download the previous state from Cloudcell. - When you install the HD game on the iPad, you have to start again from the scratch. iPhone and iPad games where not in sync, even when both games sync with the same Cloudcell account. Both issues really held me up from diving deep into the game, because Im switching devices often. I will also stay away from buying the iPhone (and later released iPad) RR 2 when the sync issues are still not fixed. I mean, come on, you even have your own sync service and are able to redownload the remote state in Flight Control .
I haven't had any issues with syncing my game saves with CloudCell. It'll backup your current profile when you log in or you just backup your current profile whenever you wish and you can restore whenever you wish. I obviously can't say how well it'll work between the iPhone version and iPad version since the iPad version isn't out.
The functionality you are asking for is not present in Real Racing 1, but we have added it in Real Racing 2. Real Racing 2 (and the Cloudcell tech driving it) actually uploads your single player progress at various points, and you can force it to backup a specific save game to the server also. This is different to Real Racing 1 which only uploads your best times, achievements and other settings on the server, but not your single player progress. Also, with Real Racing 2, you can login on a different device with the same Game Center ID and restore your save game from the server. This was designed to allow for the scenario you describe, where you play on multiple devices. You can also have multiple different Game Center logins on the one device and they all have different save games and unlocks, which was designed to allow people to share or transfer a device.
Where do I got to access this in the menu? To force backup my data? I can only see the option to delete save game? Thanks in advance
