Anyone got a screenie of this on iPad? Some games look fine...some...not so much... I really can't wait for the iPad version...
Both Manually & Automatically. Go To Profile - Player Settings - Restore Save - You Will Then See 3 - 4 Saves. At the very bottom you will Download & Upload. See Uploading works fine for me. I choose the save file I want to download, I click download but nothing happens.
When people officially submit a ticket into Firemint's system it's probably just easier for all the people there to address it and collaborate instead of one guy reading the forums and coming back with "hey guys, people think x should be amended. Write it down on a sticky note or something". And that should wrap up that discussion, thank you
I rather have them release it now without retina display. NFS Hot Pursuit and Assault 6 both dont have retina display and look awesome. Hopefully it'll come soon so I can buy that instead of those.
Anyone else notice that the faster cars "feel quicker"? That's to say, 200 kmph in an F1 feels much quicker than 200 kmph in a VW?
Just think about that for a sec and remember that in this game u are either 100% throttle, no throttle, or 100% brake. no throttle is usually never the case. Your comparing the acceleration when you are talking about the quickness of cars not the static constant velocities and thus that should answer your question.
Perhaps quicker wasn't the right word. Faster? And I'm not sure where you learned physics, but I'd consider getting a refund. Speed at any given instant (which is the basis of my judgement) is a constant (speed is not dependent on time). Acceleration is measured in g-force (or distance/time), and since acceleration is something you physically feel, which is impossible to emulate on consoles and PCs, let alone iDevices (albeit ironically, the gyro/accelerometer relies on these forces to offer said 6-degrees of freedom), and need a $40k+ driving simulator to give the sense of movement without... movement. Therefore, games try to simulate forces via depth-of-field (which you're mistaking for motion blur), louder and higher engine noise, camera shake (a la SHIFT), visual/audio cues etc etc. However, speed can be directly translated to amount of distance traveled in given time. Since this is always a constant (assuming identical speeds here), what I'm referring to specifically is "motion blur", which is NOT a result of acceleration. If you're moving at a constant rate of 200 mph for a long period of time, the amount of g-force you'd experience is 0g (ideally), in other words, acceleration would be 0. However, objects would still be flying past you, giving you the appearance that you're still moving at high speeds, even though you are, even though acceleration is 0. The way this game tries to communicate acceleration is through your own management of the distance traveled. As you look out the "side", your brain updates you and generates its very own distance/time measurement. That along with speedometer (which you almost have to rely on, because there's almost 0 feel of acceleration in the game). Something simple as "raise front end of car" to visualize acceleration would've been good imo. Of course, the whole thing could also be a framerate issue. In layman's terms, 180 kmph in an F1 still feels quicker than 200 kmph in a VW. In even more simple terms, take a screenshot (aka still of the car at the given instant) of an F1 and VW at similar speeds and compare.
Thank you . Manual upload of game save worked! I was reluctant to tap on Restore Save for fear of losing all or recent progress when a null or old save was loaded.
I made this full-audio Youtube video of a post-multiplayer replay showing the switchable camera view feature. It would be great if an update allowed for such replays to be saved locally, since the ones uploaded directly by the app to Youtube are from the perspective of street cameras. Edit: The following is a hands-on gameplay video using the F1 with Method B and no assists. Two separate online multiplayer races (Mayapan Beach and Castellona Bay), each followed by several cycles of the replay with different camera settings.
Lolwut? Retina Display on an iPAd is impossible. You are asking for 2500 by 1900 resolution. Few PCs can even play games at that resolution and you want an iPad to? 1.) With a res that high (higher than any laptop and most desktops) Apple would charge $2000. 2.) Let's say Apple would need a quad-core 2.5 GHz processor and an octo-core SGX 545 GPU as well as 2GB RAM to run anything at that resolution. Then you an forget about battery life. Seriously get real guys, Retina Display only makes sense on small devices.
Interesting. I realize a screen cannot actually give you a sense of acceleration but as you say the "scenery" moving past you at speed does communicate acceleration somewhat and in that sense average acceleration is greater with the F1 and thus the change in velocity of the scenery should be different i think. I havent taken physics in 3 years, my brain is all biochemistry so please excuse the errors. Here is a question though since you seem to have a firm grasp on the subject: With a click and shoot camera take a picture from a car(of the outside) accelerating slowly to 60 mph but take it right as the speedometer hits 40 mph. Now take a picture from a car travelling at maximum acceleration during the same task. Will the "blur" be different or the same. I hope with this question you can disregard shutterspeed and the like but i think you would understand my question. I think you are right though now and i think they will have exactly the same motion blur. Sorry for the derail everyone
I tried Asphalt 6: Adrenaline today and this is so much better. Gameloft's game had good graphics but basic gameplay is still the same as crappy Asphalt 5.
crash bug ive been reading post like this all over. the game is easily the best, most realistic racing game on the app store. i don't even feel that bad starting over if i must because i loved the game, but the game needs to be updated.
Finally finished career mode...on easy. Now to try medium The f1 is seriously fast though. I just knocked off like 6 seconds of my time in Castellona Bay from my old Z4 M with it. The only thing is, it has absolutely no grip to speak of.
Please keep an eye on this for the latest updates on this issue. I believe we'll have some news regarding this bug later today.
