I'm against pirating iOS games and apps; but this ranting on in caps about how "ITS STEALING, YOU'RE A THIEF", it's not really heavy on arguments. No; pirating software is not the equivalent of 'jacking food in a grocery store', and those currently pirating software aren't really going to be swayed by that statement.
Piracy exist in virtual world and you can't blame man in reality for pirating but you can blame him in virtual world and punish him!
I would be better if everyone does one lap to qualify for their starting position for the multiplayer (like in the singleplayer).
I never said anything about any crash bugs. But yr claim that its a bug "everyone else has" is strange since I've been playing the game for days and it hasn't crashed once on me... are you jailbroken by any chance?
I am jailbroken, and I purchased the game from the AppStore the very instant I awoke on the 16th. And I never had the game crash once. I did however get the sound cutting out and a drop in framerate occasionally.
I think you're wrong. I joined as the third one a race, and I started as the last one (13) BTW, I think that the multiplayer track needs to be sorted random. Everyone play Castellona Bay and it's boring.
I am running 4.1 jailbreak limera1n, with RR2 bought officialy from the app store, I don't see where this could interfere with the game ?
Alot of people on the support website have been complaining about the crash bug now. Hopefully a patch is sorted out soon.
Agreed, the worst thing that Firemint could do for their reputation in a largely US market is to accuse paying customers who report bugs of either being jail broken or using pirated software. If they attempt that tack in this case, Apple will be compelled to out Firemint and share their own experience with these highly reproducible bugs.
I don't know. I mean we've all got the same devices. If theres 5,000 of us running the game, and 200 of us have a specific issue with it crashing, then the first thing you want to do is try and determine what might be different about those 200 devices that are having problems. If it turns out that all of them are jailbroken then you can say "hmm, maybe theres an issue with our game on jailbroken devices." Or if all the devices having issues happen to be running an older version of the ios then maybe thats a clue. I mean games don't just randomly decide they will crash on one machine and not another. There has to be something cuasing the problem... I don't know if its possible for one app to interfere with the operation of another app on the idevices. On a PC you might look at something running in the background like A/V software as a potential culprit. If there is something inherently wrong with the code of the game that isn't in some way related to a specific outside factor on a given number of devices, then the problem should affect pretty much everyone running the game right?
Online Save Game "Save game data is stored online with your game identity, so if you need to reinstall the app or buy a new device, you can restore it and pick up right where you left off including all your game progress." http://firemint.com/?page_id=3484 Amazing! First time i've seen this desperately needed feature implemented! Way to go Firemint
I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you beleive in a lot of conspiracy theories amirite?
Your reasoning seems pretty logical, however i have the newest version of ios, and i'm not jailbroken. Though i did update my ipod from 4.1 to 4.2 after I encountered the bug.
This game was not released with any major bugs because clearly, it operates fine on many devices. There is most likely some similarity between the crashers, such as an old version of iTunes, jb or previously jb, etc...
how bout installation methodology? Did you install directly to the devices or was it downloaded to itunes on a PC and then synced to the device?
