@LBG Why does it say "your car must have a performance rating between 74 and 77. you can change cars or MODIFY your existing car in the garage"
Because say you have a car with a standard performance rating of 73, then you can upgrade it to 74 and above (although the best think to do would be to buy a car with a standard performance rating of 75, 76, or 77 and upgrade it if necessary.
I hope there will be an update where one can activate Motion Blur for during the races and not just in the replays.
All that pic shows is someone thanking someone else for sharing something. And did I miss something? Since when did it become ok to be a rat?
Heard bad things about the F1, but decided to pick it up and try it for myself. Results: top 15 on the three maps I tested it on (C-Bay, Mckinley, Speedway). It's anywhere from a second to two seconds quicker than the Vette, with noticeably better acceleration. Handling is much more responsive, while grip seems to be a tad lower (but that could be a result of increased responsiveness). What strikes me rather odd about the latter half of the game, was that it pretty much became a pure GT racing game. Looking deeper, half the cars are GT cars. GT cars can't be customized, and I'm totally okay with that, but I feel like much of the stock goodness is lost in MP until they add some sort of a filter to rooms. e.g. 75-85, 85-95, 95-105, 105-115, and probably an unrestricted room. This really differentiates the cars and allows the use of all the cars in the game. I mean, I love the M3 GTS and the stock GT-R in this game, but I also love winning, but you can't seem to have both in this game. You can either race with the car you like, or you can win. Also, among all the GT cars, it just seems wrong to not include the Porsche. All of Porsche's rivals, but no Porsche just seems odd. GT3 RSR, not exactly a bad looking car eh? And scratch the previous suggestion on Audi R8 V10 version. It seems the direction the game is trying to go, it makes much more sense to include the Audi R8 GT instead. Or better yet, a Gallardo? Firemint, please take my money.
When you lose traction, there is no need to let the car slow down drastically (unless you are going WAY too fast). If you play in a 3rd person view you'll see the car's weight shift to the outside; there is loss of traction on the inside wheels (especially rear). This is when you should be counter-steering to return the weight to the middle and level out the car; you need to hit the gas again as soon as your nose is pointed correctly. In a nutshell, you gas it when your nose is pointed where you want to go, and slow down and correct when your nose points off-course (under/over-steer). Happy racing
It's none of your business what someone else downloads. To jump in and rat them out to everyone serves what purpose? And being a rat is pretty low on the social scale. Somewhere around beating up old people. Not to mention hazardous to your health.
So, if someone goes into your house and steals your iPhone 4, it's none of anyone's business? I think this is definitely the business of Firemint, figuratively and literally. And the only people who are "low on the social scale" are the thieves who come here to complain about bugs in a stolen game. How can someone post a bug complaint about something they didn't even pay for? Anyway... I don't want to derail this thread with a debate. I'm out.
Despite having had no problems with Apple Game Center time trial submissions, none of the trial times from the past few hours have been successfully submitted to Cloudcell; the error messages range from those connection errors (there had been none - wifi was on at all times), to a message stating that were "no times" for that track yet. Conversely, on lists for those tracks where my own times were successfully submitted to Cloudcell, I've noticed several player times on Game Center that would have lowered my rank on the corresponding Cloudcell track, but apparently also failed to submit (that's probably why the "pacemaker" achievement won't unlock). Regardless of whether this has been caused by overloaded Cloudcell servers or app bugs, it makes sense to ignore Cloudcell for the near future, and let Apple GC manage the stats in order that this self-professed "small independent developer in Australia" will be able to focus on fixing the bugs. Apple should get on the ball and add a way for the developers to list the car type next to the times within GC. Either that or they should buy Cloudcell, and avoid these aspects of their apps that cheapen the iOS platform on some level (that's the Real reason people won't pay $20 for games that look like $40 console games). It's not as if Apple couldn't have had someone do at least as good a job in-house - surely they have an incentive in light of the impending competition among these and dedicated handheld gaming devices.
I really hope they add more exotics in the future. Porsche GT3 RS, Gallardo, Veyron, Zonda, Italia would be so good.
