I have a paid-for version and I get that too? I can show you my iTunes receipt as proof if you want...
Both the 3GS and 4 have exactly the same graphics. The 4 is just higher res and runs at a slightly lower frame rate (the high res is serious performance hit on 4th gens)
Then that would be the problem. The devices setting might have been altered and this could have caused graphics issues in some of your games.
Frame rate runs fine on my iPhone 4. And the graphics look quite a lot less jagged because of the increased pixel density, it looks good on the 3GS though, but just looks more pixelated.
Not to belabor the point, but the risk of losing a time trial submission as result of connection error just throws me off my game to the point where I'm occasionally avoiding the brake button too, and slamming into walls while thinking about how so few review sites advocate for the consumer anymore. I'm sure Pocketgamer didn't put RR2 through its paces on an iPod Touch 4. edit: What's especially annoying is that there's no way to restart the app without restarting the device a consequence of task-switching (seriously, why doesn't iPod Touch 4 come bundled with a memory manager?) Will frequent device restarts lower the battery lifespan of my device? I've rebooted at least 30 times so far because of connection errors, audio muting, and occasional freezing after sleep or low-battery warning. Is it possible to restart the RR2 app in a way that allows the main menu and Game Center welcome message to reappear without having to reboot?
@Grubjelly Open the multitasking bar and hold an icon to make it wiggle (like when ou want to move icons around) then a little negative sign should appear. Press that to close the app, there's no need to restart the app
No, the 3GS build looks different, the environments are kinda fuzzy and the road looks really weird. While on the iPhone 4 everything is crisp and clean. Probably an issue when you try to scale down the pixels on a retina build.
Good game, can anyone tell me how to downgrade my car. I got a better car and sold my old one but now i cant enter any races because my rating is to high?? Thanks
You can't downgrade cars. You'll have to buy your old car again (you can make more money by replaying races).
Which races are the most worth it? As in, best money earned per time spent? I recently bought a car far exceeding the requirements of where I'm currently at in campaign so I actually changed the difficulty down to EASY so I can master turns better while getting money quickest to buy a car that can be used in my current campaign level.
I prefer replaying Head-to-Head races since they are only one lap. Maybe Time Trials may be alright too.
Well, there's the Balladonia Showdown in the Pro Circuit tier that let's you use your own car (between 102-118p though).
