I've just played a multiplayer race with other 8 players and it's strange. Opponents cars appear from nowhere or suddenly stop and then accelerate to 150 mph or sort of. Also, 7 players and me have a GTI WV, but the "hoster" has a expensive McClaren, WTF? I think he hacked the game to have more momey and buy expensive cars. It's imposible otherwise.
Same problem here, I honestly prefer multiplayer with 6 cars with no lag or bugs, to 16 cars with strange bugs like the quoted post.
No, He has played longer then you, Thats all. That's lag. It is probably due to the current hype around the game. Should be fixed and die of over the next month.
I've also noticed cars jumping around the track in online races, though not to the degree seen in Reckless Racing.
Heh I just finished a series of races and went to watch the replay of the final race I just had, the camera was like half a mile away under the road looking at my car before forcing itself back up to the track, my car was missing it's rear bumper right at the start of the race and the LOD model was stuck on the lowest, so for the results screen where the car drives around before showing the 1-2-3 trophy area the car has been stuck in a real low poly model not game breaking but something obviously went wrong when I clicked replay.
Ok - progressing through first career section, got to last event and can't enter because my car's performance stat is 73 and 74 is the minimum. I checked performance upgrades and there are none left that will raise the stat above 73. I have about 30k, which is not enough (I think) to buy a car with a 74 performance stat. I grinders by re-doing events, but was this the intent to have to replay races to earn money to advance? Or am I missing something? I can now afford the Ford Focus but it's starting stat is 86. The event I want to enter requires 74-77. How can I get a car to enter this event?
If there is no upgrade which will raise the rating, buy both parts that usually raises it, as both together will add a point.
wow, lots of posts here... Anyone know if Firemint mentioned they would be adding new manufacturers? I badly want some Audi cars in the game ( I miss my old real-life Audi *cry* ).
Thank u! Cobalt worked! And if you want the game to feel faster, try the bonnet cam. Cockpit cam feels slowest to me and did in RR1 as well.
So, how's the game? I've been reading a couple of pages, and I only see mixed results. Reviews say it's awesome, and I think it is $10 is not bad for such an awesome looking game, unless it's not so great.
im enjoying the game so far, but there seems to be a problem with multiplayer online. People just seem to be going up and down the finishing straight trying to crash into others which isnt much fun for those of us actually trying to race. Also im running into the problem a few others have mentioned where suddenly on the last lap of multiplayer i go from 1st to 3rd when no one has overtaken and it is unlikely its the lag because i have a much better car.
Definately worth the price. I actually didn't enjoy the first game much (it felt pretty boring), but this game I find to be much more fun. The graphics are insanely good on the retina display and the 16 car races are fun. Here's my mini review (with screenshots): http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=1481396&postcount=152
Why is it that US app store has two version tabs for the reviews? The "current" tab contains only one 2 star review among eight 5-star ones, whereas the "all versions" tab lists 58 additional reviews, including several 1-star reviews(too low in my opinion, even with the bugs). Does that mean an unannounced update just got approved?
Why, in career races, do some cars have a name above them and others do not? I would also be curious to know user opinions based on which device they are using. I'm on a 3GS and some sections of some courses look dreadful. I bet it looks fantastic and runs at a higher framerate on an iPhone 4!
