I have an iPod touch 2G and I can tell you that for me it works on max quallity with a great framerate! I'm errr unjailbroaken.... (mostly )
Oh thanks, that's good news. I don't care about shadows but it would be a shame to lose foliage on my 3G. BTW - anyone know what the current 'App Store Review Status' says and when it was last updated? Cheers, --Kahd
Its sort of a cross between Oblivion and Zelda - but I guess people are saying most like Gothic... Which I tend to agree with. Scaled down for iDevice of course.
Okay, thanks, sounds good. I still try not to get too hyped so that if the game isn't the greatest thing to happen to mankind I won't kill myself. It's still done by two developers (?) and to the iDevices. But this looks really cool. I try to avoid spontaneous purchases, but if this gets good reviews, I might not be able to resist.
Suicide is not recommended under any circumstances . You are right to keep to reasonable expectations: it's the best way to enjoy the experience once it's actually happening. Ravensword is not the best thing to happen to mankind. But it's pretty damn great for an iDevice game.
Can anyone else comment on 3G vs. 3Gs performance (especially with foliage on) I'll also risk repeating the earlier question regarding the current 'App Store Review Status' and when it was last updated?
quick question: when you have equipped the armor or weapon, will it show that it is actually equipped? is obama good or bad? ravensword memory file? is osama bin laden good or bad? is ravensword have sandbox world? is your dog okay? please check! these are my questions please answer. it is important
im pretty sure he already said that it is sort of sand box, but with set objectives such as objects you have to find, but you can go around and kill monsters and such freely. kinda like Zenonia etc.
Can't actually speak to a comparison, since I'm a 3Gs and don't have an older gen device. I can say, however, that I've played through it several times with all foliage and all shadows on without a problem. Turning them off will improve the frame rate, but not enough, in my view, to compensate for the loss in richness. I can imagine that reducing quality might improve some of the more intense combat sequences, but I definitely didn't find it necessary. Josh will have to answer the question about the review status -- though he might be too nervous to check .
Sounds great, well at least for 3Gs owners. I played C&C today and it is extremely laggy on my 3G...almost to the point of being unplayable! I pray Ravensword is smooth on 3G... Poor guy!
It should be noted that Russ optimized the game with 2nd Gen iPod Touch and the iPhone 3G in mind. I believe that Der Kleine beta tested on an older gen device, and he thought it ran very smoothly.
yep, that's right! I mights see If JoshCM will let me take a 20 second video of it running on my iPT2G...
