He said that he was playing on ipad 3 which can handle less then the ipad 2 on its native resolution they can up the graphics on an ipad 4 ipad 3 is the worst apple product made for gamers AND I ADMIT THIS PRETTY GOODNFOR ONLY 7$ what can u expect
I can assure you that it's more than adequate on my iPad 4. I have the slider turned all the way up, and it's definitely a noticeable difference from the default position.
I'm really starting to wonder if the majority of iOS gamers really ARE insatiable. What CM has managed to shoehorn into a mobile platform is nothing short of amazing. If presented in the console market, they would easily be able to ask $60 for this title. Being that it's coming to the AppStore, however, we all know it will only cost a fraction of that. I guess all I'm really trying to say is to take a few steps back to reflect on just HOW far iOS gaming has matured since the launch of the AppStore (or Ravensword 1 for that matter). If you ask me, we are in a truly GREAT time in mobile gaming, and I'm sure it will only get better from here. I mean, there's ALWAYS got to be something left for next time right? Apple has definitely proven that time and time again, and CM has consistently upped the ante with each of their projects as well. So, with that being said, I wouldn't hold out too long for a "double HD" version because you'll probably never end up getting to enjoy this incredible game
Dang I was looking forward to first person gameplay oh well ill have to wait till release and also the gun shooting kinda looked awkward did he aim with the little circle or did it lock on with square?
I play primarily in first person, and I can assure you that it works and looks great! As for shooting the blunderbuss, you can target an enemy both ways (with the reticle or by locking onto it).
Wow, looks pretty amazing. The portions of gameplay shown in the video were rather dull though. I hope we can see a better video soon.
True, I almost got bored watching it when he stood on higher ground just shooting at the goblins. Amazing ragdoll death animations though. Just a question: is it possible to disable the "yellow hit effect" on the enemies?
Hmm, that TA video looks really washed out, flat and lifeless to me, as if there's no depth to the shadowy areas. (the game trailer and screenshots don't look like this) I'm not sure that this video is doing the game justice, visually. The images at the left are screenshots from the video, and the images at the right are how I believe the game is meant to look.
True with the colours.. How about some FXAA Anyways the game looks really good and I am playing it the second it appears on the App Store. I only hate that the walking sound does not reflect the real walking. So you hear him running even if he is sneaking. That I hope is not impossible to fix. Also the same problem that I had with Aralon. There is stylised architecture and there is nonsensical/illogical architecture. The height of the ceiling in the first scene? You are missing the first floor there guys.. And the gate at 3:16. I know the game is big, but this just breaks the immersion for me..
Awesome video. Really can't wait for this game to come out. The developers really did a great job on this one i think! Let's hope it's coming out soon. But off course take al the time you will need to avoid irritating bugs when its release..
yeah for some reason the video capture looks very washed out, its really not like that in the actual game. You can see that it has a 'faded' look. It might just be the video compression or the transfer between iPad to recording. Jared gave a good impression of the game, though. He left out a few things that I think I'm going to try to get into the next video.
Is combat going to just be button mashing or will there be blocking, spells, critical hits, combos, etc? Also that wasn't running to well on an iPad 3, hope it runs more stably on a 4th gen iPad.
it should run at least 30 all the time on iPad 3, Jared had an earlier build before we did a lot of optimization. As for combat, we have blocking, parrying, dodging, magic (via different runes like the original). Your attack speed is based on the type of weapon you have, and also how heavy the weapon is affects your energy. There is also a power attack, via a rune that you can use with melee weapons. You can enhance your weapons as well, with gems and poison. We have stat boosters in the form of rings and amulets.
