Ah yes, I've been playing Gothic II lately and I've enjoyed it very much, even though it has it's downsides (bugs etc.) I'm now very interested in Ravensword 2, because deeper RPG-elements are promised.
Gothic is still being considered as one of the best RPG games ever. So is Baldur's Gate, Diablo, Neverwinter Nights, KotOR and Mass Effect. Chance to get them relased for iDevices is as tiny as baby ant. And this is the main reason I bought Ravensword 1. And it's graphic
Yes you are right, but Ravensword was nothing against Gothic 1 or 2 . It was enjoyable, but there was some deep missing. But I am sure Crecsent Moon will fix this lack of fun in part 2 . Until then, I will play Gothic 2 a fifth time
I supposed there's no way to implement a "Ravensword Construction Set" for user-made content like in the elder scrolls? I assume that wouldn't work because of all the optimization you have to do and the limitations of the platform..
Have fun I have finished GII: Raven's Night about 6 times and now, literally, I can't even look at autorun imagine. Yet And yes - I hope for more depth in the RII storyline and gameplay aswell. Item grades (Unique, common etc), item forging and composing, advanced grinding and character developement are some of feature I'd expect from RII. Best,
Interesting that you should mention that... I was pondering that very thing this morning for the pc/mac versions, and maybe the iPad. Would be really hard to implement on the little iPhone screen. Created levels would work on all devices, of course. I've got a lot of work to do before such a thing comes under serious consideration, though. Kind of depends on what tools I end up making for Josh to build levels with, too.
epic but it was so expensive ravensword is really the closest thing to gothic 2 here on the app store i hope ravensword 2 won´t has as many bugs as gothic 3 on release
Josh- Just wanted to say I purchased an ipod last week specifically to play Ravensword. Basically I spent $305 on Ravensword. It's awesome. It makes me want to develop for the iphone. Sadly I refuse to use a mac, so I guess that won't happen though. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to Ravensword 2. As a side note- If you guys need any music or extra models created Id be more than happy to help out for free.
Josh and I thank you, as does Apple, no doubt... that sale netted them a good bit more than the standard 30% If you want to develop games, grab Unity, and you can stay in PC land and make PC games for free.
Ideas: Blunderbuss: after your done with the main story you can get a sidequest. the reward is "The Ultimate Troll-hunting weapon", or as we know it, a blunderbuss. Crossbows A cheesy sub-storyline: The mice need your help!!!! Explore the islands outside the main area Horse (being able to use it wherever you want) and as a easter-egg, you should be able to reskinn the horse as a motorcycle
How about a secret Hot Coffee mod (only not a mod just a hidden part of the game)? One that is hidden well enough that Apple would not be able to find it but is easily found if you are devoted to finding it lol. I just think that would be funny and would also get alot of people to buy your game. As well as causing a media shitstorm maybe even higher than GTA:SA as
