There was a good quest log in RS1 already, so I doubt they removed it. There was a map in both RS1 and Aralon. If you're talking about an on-screen mini map - it's just pointless and takes up unecesary screen space. I saw there will be a compas at the top of the screen in RS2 though, so you'll have an idea where you're going. I'm wondering if there is a quest arrow. (I'd prefer there wouldn't be one)
I think if they implemented one with the ability to turn it off, it would work, same goes for a mini-map
Ravensword was on Kotaku (with a tip from Touch Arcade) http://kotaku.com/5948096/it-wont-be-long-until-an-elder-scrolls+size-game-is-running-on-a-phone comments are frickin hilarious.
LOL not the "Phones aren't made for games" thingy again... why won't they just accept it as a new platform anyway. It is inevitable after all. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!!!!!
Yeah i just posted on there. I cant talk i used to be 'one of them', saw a friends iphone, didnt like the lack of virtual buttons, he seemed to be playing simple phone style games. Eventually gave it a shot and I was blown away, huge variety of games, a device like this was a dream to me as a kid in the 80's. Love it. Aralon blew me away when I got my ipod and i've been addicted to it ever since. Just need a release date now for Ravensword 2
You should give Aralon a try though, its not 'too basic', huge openworld to discover with tons of missions, amazing value
Why dont you play it ? I'm in the same boat, bought it ages ago but 'forgot' about it and played lots of others. Now i want to give it a go before i get the sequel
Kinda off topic but I thought I heard from someone that you can jump to amazing heights in the original ravensword, is this true?
Wait... so you never played RS1? Btw some comments over at otaku.com just make me want to do a facepalm. I mean.... Please... someone find these guys and beat them up. Theyve got no idea or are are thinking theyre speaking for the majority...
