Josh kind of let the cat out of the bag on that one a few pages back. I am currently working on some background texts -- the kind of stuff you'd find in books throughout the game. In a previous life I used to write fiction professionally, including a Spider-Man novel over a decade ago. As to my role in the rest of the game, I'll let Josh speak to that .
Really? All I've said is that I had a role in the game, and I did so to make it clear that I am not an unbiased party. The first time that the actual term "writing" came up, it was mentioned by Josh, not me. If that's "douching," then I apologize. .
Yes he actually wrote a really cool story that we based the game on (although somewhat loosely at this point) and also (hopefully) some book content to place throughout the world.
Yeah, I have a few questions about that I know the a5 is getting realtime shadows. The a5x (iPad 3) is probably getting some retina assets. I BEG OF YOU: please, please allow us iPad 3 owners to choose whether to enable full retina (and thus shoddy framerate and disabled effects) or 720p iPad 2 res with a little AA to smooth everything out and some extra effects added in addition to a5 ones, such as radial motion blur when turning quickly or depth of field when sprinting. Many of us iPad 3 owners would FAR rather see extra effects for our games than super high resolution. Could you please consider adding a toggle to do something like that?
Good point. Skyrim has a radial blur effect, but now that I think about it that's only in combat. Ok, well how about a radial blur effect when being hit in combat and when a big dinosaur crashes to the ground (BOOM!), and an optional depth of field effect when sprinting? Btw long time no see, sidegoku. Nice to see you again.
How about both with super high res? Since iPad 2 res looks worse on iPad 3... You probaly couldn't see the extra effects. How about both retina, plus extra effects, with good/decent framerate.
iPad 2 res on an iPad 3 looks like iPad 2 res Running full retina + effects will result in an awful framerate.
