Don't know if this has been asked before, but does this game have a faction system like Skyrim? Just kidding. Actually, my real question is should I have played Ravensword 1 before getting into Ravensword 2? Are the stories closely tied together? I've only played maybe halfway through Ravensword 1.
We had talked about a simple localized faction system, in which only NPC's you attacked would try to harm you, rather than getting the whole city involved and then you spend the rest of the game trying to get back to normal again. We haven't officially decided that yet. Right now we're trying to get the main story line in place, see how it plays, then go from there.
What about different factions/groups warring with each other and you having to pick sides? That would be interesting.
Well in many RPGs the guards will talk to you if they see you after you've commited a crime and you can either fight, pay money or go to Jail. (So yes, Skyrim isn't the only game that does that!)
I shutter at the thought of the development costs, time, and effort going into this game... I hope you guys make your investment back and then some!
if you guys want factions and wars and stuff, buy skyrim as well as this game. I really shouldn't be one to talk though. how will the quests be? will they be open ended or linear?
Will there be ragoll physics, or just the normal death animations? because in aralon (although very old compared to this game) the death animations were nit very exiting.
How's the unity engine working out? I love the unity engine and of corse the UDK(unreal engine). I hope you push our devices to our max looking foward to playing it it look amazing!
Sorry if I´m picking this up again, but I would just make a simple law system, meaning that npc´s you attack will fight back, and if a guard comes by, you can either pay a fine or refuse and fight. and don´t add too much stuff that uses processing power, otherwise my iphone 4 won´t cope
Will there be an indicator on the hud pointing in which direction to go, or will it be le aralon, because i was constantly sent searching for a place that i could not find... it was VERY annoying...
Indeed. You were forced to follow the story and read what the NPCs were saying, rather than walking around, following the arrow like a mindless zombie... But its true - if english isnt your peimary language, youre gonna have a bad time.
Is this going to have any choice/decision making like a kind of Fable thing? I like it when games allow you to change the story based on what you've chosen to do.
Are we (the player) going to have dialogue choices, a la Mass Effect? Because that would be awesome aha
Modding It would be very simple to add mods into ravenswrod 2 by Using iDownloader pro to download a file off a website (preferably made by crescent moon) and be installed via iFile (quite like garry's mod). Mods could be submitted by users. does anyone else agree?
