So what are the main differences going to be between Aralon 2 and Ravensword 2 as far as gameplay? Is it that Ravensword 2 does not have Classes and is maybe less magic based, with more Zelda-like combat? Am I understanding this right? Don't get me wrong, I'm in no way bashing on Ravensword 2 here. I think both are going to be phenomenal games in their own right. We are talking about Crescent Moon and Galoobeth Games afterall.
They are both made by crescent moon games. Also, you are a bit of a dick. And I be er said aralon was part of the ravensword series just very similar and made by the same company.
I know they are VERY similiar games, Crescent moon even used some 3D models in Aralon which they wanted to use in Ravensword 2. Anyway, I was just teasing you
Haha, woah don't jump the gun here. Ravensword 2 doesn't even have a release date yet, and you are already asking about Aralon 2's gameplay? I doubt CM Games has any definitive answers on that yet. They might have some ideas already though.
Ravensword is more action based, the combat is more 'zelda style' but it has professions and talents now, vs. skills and classes.
Thanks for clarifying things a bit, Josh. And yes, I do suppose I'm jumping the gun a tad with Aralon 2. Anyway, seeing that I felt Aralon was lacking in its combat system (fantastic game nonetheless), I'm uber excited to try it out in Ravensword 2.
Looks like combat wil be more interesting in RS2. But I'm more worried about the storyline. You should know that the story wasn't good in RS1. There should also be mounts (I mean real mounts, not like in RS1). Also more armors and different weapons would be nice.
From Twitter: Ok so you can fly a pterodactyl in Ravensword 2 now, but we have to fix a few things. Like strafing and hovering for instance. http://fr.twitter.com/CM_Games/status/220333169189199872
Lol, I don't think it has a definite one. Middle ages with dinosaurs?? (some weird alternate reality??) ... This is going to be an interesting game...
Action oriented fantasy RPG. Don't try and question it. I can't wait for the game btw. Keep up the good work Josh!
sounds perfect ! cant wait to enter the beautiful looking world of Ravensword 2 ....and save the Yeti
Hopefully, the game isn't so hard that it takes a long time to get mounts or fight Dino's or other epic stuff.
Just curious...could you possibly tell us what games you are drawing inspiration from for this project? Are there any games out there that you feel this game compares closely to?
