Wouldn't it be an amazing idea to give us the ability to mod the game. Games like the elder scrolls are open for modding and even give the players the opportunity to easily mod the game. I have some experience in modding ios games and it's difficult if you don't know how to do it. But if you would put weapons and items in easy-to-find folders it would be quite easy to access the data with computer programs like iExplorer. Usually games get a bit boring after the first playthrough but this would make it customizable! Fu**ing revolution in ios gaming! Maybe someday we'll even be able to make our own textures with the right program and add them to the game like thousands do in the elder scrolls games! Shit is possible!
I want to make sweet babies with that idea! It could be done... and it would be so damn sick! Maybe just importing models in the format that their games use, and adding name, stats, etc and putting it in the appropriate folder? Honestly, do that only with weapons and you will win the internet. I would so have the warglaives of Azinoth
I still remember last year when Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus was still easy to mod. You could change so many cool things. Effects, weapons, stats and even textures and it was really easy. But unfortunatley they made it impossible with an update. But you didn't even need an jailbroken device to do it! Please guys from CM-Games, make this dream come true!!
I'd have to imagine that the number of iOS users who would want to create mods is pretty small compared to the PC community and that unless it's ridiculously simple for users to install those mods that most people wouldn't bother. The only ways I could see that happening is through iTunes sharing or some sort of Dropbox integration... It's a neat idea, but I wouldn't want it to hold the game up...
right now we are working on refining the magic system. its still rune based like the original Ravensword, but with a ton of enhancements. I'm not sure how difficult it would be to add mods - we had originally considered doing something to let people edit their own quests via xml files, but I'm not sure if we would be able to have something like that in time for release. I'm happy to say the game is progressing along very well. Almost all of the base systems are now in, its just a matter of fine tuning and getting all of the quests/npc's in now, finishing up the environments. We have a really good variety of enemies and weapons, and a few nice surprises as well.
