Yep, talked about how it was in the last game a few pages back, I even had to post a pic to prove it...
Sorry if its already been covered, but I'm suddenly having an issue with items in my inventory overlapping. I purchased the ring pictured below. When I try to select it to equip, the game selects the item overlapping the ring instead. I realize I can drop all my loot until nothing is blocking the ring. But I have many items and would rather not have to anytime I wish to equip something else.
Yeah the inventory needs to be a lot easier to use, I suggest a grid system. Also the quick-access bar at the bottom of the screen needs to have more slots, PLEASE!! Or do it like Aralon where there was a little arrow and we had two quick-acces bars to switch between.
It took an extremely long time to program the inventory system, so making a big change to that would be very difficult. Aralon's system just uses icons, and it took several months to get all of those icons painted. I wanted you to be able to really see what your items looked like. Maybe we could add another way to sort items that makes it also quicker.
Ok, here are a few suggestions that shouldn't be too hard: -Make the scrolling quicker. When I have a bunch of items it can take a good 20 seconds to get the the end. Better yet, how about a slider to increase/decrease scroll speed to our preference? -Stack identical items. Some stuff, like Warg hides and bearskins do this, but others like Goblin shields don't. In case we don't want to sell our entire stack, just give a little counter so we can slide between 1 and 5 how much we want to drop/sell -it would be really nice to have more slots in the quick access bar, or to be able to scroll from side to side and reveal more slots. By default I have to have my mount there to call it, so that just gives three spaces for potions, weapons, magic and other mounts. I'm going through the game on the hardest difficulty, and man it's a total blast. I'm having a lot of fun with it. Thanks again Josh. I would soo buy any and all expansions if you were to make some Question: would it be possible to not have a ragdoll timer at all and just let us loot them as soon as they're dead? Then if they're still moving/rolling whatever they'll continue doing so if we left loot on them or they'll just disappear. I ask because it's both a tad annoying and amusing seeing a bear or rat sloooowly start to keel over, the timer stops, and he's just suspended there xD. Out of curiosity, why are shadows disabled for dead enemies? Performance?
a good style of inventory could be like the SkyUI mod for skyrim and you dont to "paint" just do place the icons that are most already in the game http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3863 All swords have a sword icon by default and such, those icons are already in the game The inventory right now is almost chaotic when you have many things and having to swipes to sides to look for a single things gets kinda annoying
I'd like a tab for magic items, and gems-both could go in the same one, same with potions-a fifth tab and maybe 2 extra quick slots
Neat idea: how about different kinds of arrows? Poison, fire, ice, regular? Poison-damage over time, fire is instant big damage, ice is low damage but slows the enemy down? I'll post this on the suggestion thread, too.
This post is a tribute to Josh and his team. I really need to do this. Ever so often an iOS game comes along that intrigues you so much, that one cannot stop playing. This is one of them. Normally I only play on my iOS device when commuting back and forth from work almost every day. And when commuting in general of course. With the swarm of quality titles being released these days, I struggle badly to actually finish the titles I purchase. However, this game was so intriguing that I decided to leave my 50 inch TV and PC with 27 inch monitor at home for what they were and snuggle up on the sofa with my iPad. And that I did. For many hours I played this game nonstop and this is truly the first time that has ever happened ever in these 7 months since I live here. One day later (Friday one week ago) I had a 3 hour train journey and actually finished the game during this journey. Wow. I actually finished an iOS title. Completely. Every single quest. This felt so satisfying! But it doesn't end there. If this game grows via updates I will surely play them and heck I might even go for another run playing this on the hardest difficulty. (This run was on easiest as I am casual gamer, but that was perhaps a little too easy and became over powered quite early on in the game lol.) So thank you Josh and your team for bringing this amazing experience to iOS. I haven't had an iOS game click with me that much in ages!
there has only been four iOS games that have done that for me, this one, aralon, necromancer rising (too bad the latest update makes it crash like crazy) and the quest, with all 15 expansion packs...
Warning! Dont buy this game!! Yet... This app has gamebreaking bugs. So bad thatit takes away all enjoyableness. There are so little sidequests to that you will be forced to drag along with the main quest. The game also feels very distant with its limited dialouge and the fact that the characters lips dont move!
Crashes on Load I made it through the tutorial only to start loading, and... crashing. Is there a fix for this, or am I out $7.00?
I'm enjoying this so far, it's a bit typical as far as the fantasy setting goes and would have liked to have seen something a bit different, but it's been put together really nicely. I was going to wait for a price drop due to some reservations but its well worth the drop.
If ur playing on an iPod 4 it will not run, as it says in the description also no iPad 1 and iPhone 3GS
I've quit playing for the time being. I have a hard time grinding simply for grinding g sake and I'd go back for chests if they refilled, but they don't. I combed the whole world numerous times, played through twice, and can honestly say I'm done until there's an update. I've never played an open world game like this, and didn't understand when everyone was saying that the game too small. Since this game has been compared to TES, I thought I would check that out and picked up Skyrim. WOW. Now hat I have some context, I can see that some elements depend on a massive amount of content, like treasure in general. When chests don't regenerate in Skyrim, there's an unlimited number of ways you can get more stuff, and they throw way more at you than you could ever carry. I know this game mechanic is changing with the next update, and am very glad. And Josh, thanks for the gateway drug, although my wife is t too happy about it
Someone please post or PM me how to get the falcon. I've finished the game, but never came across one. If you choose to PM, I want to thank you in advance. I haven't been able to reply to PMs I've received.
