Well apparently I can't go into North Avon anymore. Game crashes every time. I've tried going in from South Avon, from the north meadow (or whatever it's called) and even fast travel. Crashes every time. So that's a game breaker at the moment. Anyone know a work around?
No offense but that looks like a kid created it compared to Ravensword. Not the place here to plug your own games.
Look back a few pages and you'll see the workaround. The same bug has been reported dozens of times already on this thread.
It's not his claim (whether it's factual is a matter of opinion); it's the attitude. In any event solidfart has been banned before and should never have made another account in the first place.
I have the same problem, I can travel all over, just not to north aven. And I really want to finish the archery contest.
In fairness, it's usually easy to speed-run any game once you know what you're doing from the first play-through. Speaking of your first play-through, you asked for help/solutions in this thread throughout. If you played the game as intended and had to figure everything out for yourself, I can bet you would have taken a lot longer to complete it. I remember playing Myst when it first came out back in the day and spending weeks figuring it all out. (there was no internet available to us for help in those days) However, on a second play-through, once I knew all the solutions I could speed-run the game in a couple of hours. The point I'm making is, timing Ravensword: Shadowlands now that everyone has told you the solutions, is not an indication of the true length of the game.
You're gonna regret saying that. I don't know if you remember the first year of iPhone 4, it was not any fun.
Hey josh, can you please explain to these guys why you can't run the game on iPod touch 4th gen. junk jack forums link.
So I already started another playthrough, and I have to say that this game is meant to be played with the difficulty all the way up. Stalking trolls, knowing that your dead if they catch up to you, is pretty exciting. When they charge, it really gets the adrenaline flowing. I can usually get a few arrow in them before they get close enough to cut down with my axe. If I miss or am too slow, I'm dinner. LOL.
Oh god another title which isnt compatible with Ipod Touch 5th gen due to the lack of the magnometer or whatever it needs... oh well. The same trick ive discovered with Bladeslinger works with this as well. Just buy the game, let it download thru itunes, then load up ifunbox and install the ipa. Works beatifully right with max distance, id say framerate is around 50fps if not more, it dips to high 30's when theres alot of effects (eg fog) displayed. Dear devs please enough with cutting the new touch out of business. I know its made on purpose to avoid old phone/pod users to buy this game since its not optimized, but its not right toward us. Just put a big "it supports only A5 devices and up" and call it a day.
If you try to buy it directly from the ipod it doesnt, it shows the same error as Bladeslinger, its not compatible because its missing that hardware thing that i cant remember now. But with the ifunbox trick it installs and plays fine.
Can't... I've completed the bear hunt previously... I'm on an archery mission now... but I decided to go get one of the stones first... now I'm locked out. Well it seems like the devs are working on this issue, so I hope it gets fixed soon.

Either that or fast traveling to another place and then to north Avon. I wish you would just come out and tell me the fix or PM me if you don't want to clutter the thread instead of saying 'its been mentioned before somewhere back in this 120 page thread, go read the whole thing.'. I went back 13 pages and that's all I found. squarezero Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Dec 10, 2008 13,716 1,240 113 Male Chief Strategy Officer Salem, Massachusetts, USA #1240 squarezero, Dec 25, 2012 I don't know the specifics because I didn't run into that crash (I'm replaying the game to see if I can recreate it on my own). But as far as I can gather from other comments on the thread, there seem to be two or three side-quests that are causing the crash, the archery contest being one of them. I would abandon any incomplete side-quests and try to go back to North Aven. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
