I did as such but got a message to contact you guys for support. I don't see myself getting a refund.

I hope you fix this problem. It sucked for me but imagine being able to no longer save on a level 50 character or whatever the high level is.

People are such *edited* these days. My God, how did you cope back in NES days when you paid $50 for what turned out to be a terrible game and just had to eat the cost.

Btw, I've heard Apple pretty much has no problem refunding your money no matter what the excuse. So just request a refund from them and be done with it. Though you may have to wait until after the holidays.

My game became unplayable. I could not progress. My personal enjoyment of the gameplay has little impact on bugs present in a game.

Further; In the NES "days" old timers like me usually rented games before buying them. Nor were they so advanced that saving meant much, but at least it worked in the first game to do it.

Can updates that have already been submitted be approved and released during the lockdown?

In other words, does the lockdown mean that apple won't accept new app submissions/updates or that nothing new will be released?

    NES was released in 1985-97
The sales of goods act (in Europe) Came out in 1979

So getting refunds back then (at least in Europe, but America has simillar laws too) was a lot easier than people thought it was, it's just the explosion of the gaming industry that has made these laws even more easier to apply in a more realistic sence.

    Heh ;)
    Enough said.

But on a more personal note back on topic, I almost completed this games main story line. Can't wait to see if any sneaky secret bosses come out in the update!!

    Bow Skill

Does anyone know if raising your skill in bows will make you hold them steady easier when the bow is drawn? I noticed when you have the bow drawn it wobbles a heck of a lot.

I haven't noticed any wobbling myself.

If you want a very cheesy way to level your bow skill early on, go and kill all the dino cows in the north meadow - just back away while shooting them or climb on something / hide behind something. Ashamed to say I raised my bow skill about 15-20 levels, roughly, just doing that.

Given the mixed reviews, I will wait for the bugs to be patched and for it to go on sale. It looks good and fun, but the reviews worry me. I was pretty dissappointed with Avalon. I don't plan on making the same mistake twice.

In regards to the comment on people being cheap, I think you have to take into account the competitive environment IOS games are in and the average price in the environment. It isn't a matter of being cheap, it is a matter of being smart and getting the most for your money. With $7.00 I can buy 7 different IOS games, some which may be on sale at the time and get a lot more for my money. I understand the scope of each game is different and has to be taken into account to measure its worth, but we also have identified patterns in the IOS environment in regards to price changes, so we can predict with confidence that a particular type of game from a particular developer will also go on sale in due time.

Sometimes, you can appreciate a Devs genuine interest in pleasing their customers and their attempt to make a great game, updating it, listening, etc... so sometimes we "donate" the first asking price to support the devs and their efforts. However, one must use checks and balances. It is a fragile environment, that must be handled with great care by both the devs and the consumers.

I'm here not because of the bugs, which are many, or the relatively bland graphics, which were surprising (considering the sort of performance I get on my 4s these days) nor even because of the lacklustre story and world. I'm here because normally if a game gets a 5 star touch arcade review you can trust it to be epic, but shadowlands just has way too many flaws, so I'm pretty pissed at its 5 star rating. And the argument that "but dude, this is on your phone!" is nonsensical, my phone is probably more powerful then the computer I used to play oblivion on. Open world rpg's have been around for ages, and I don't get why the developers didn't learn from their predecessors. That said, it is still fun and entertaining if you ignore the flaws, so I'd give it 3 out of 5, maybe 4 if all the many, many bugs are removed soon, which seems unlikely.

  12. I totally agree with you, it is however an awesome game, and like oblivion I think it will just keep getting beter, as the devs update, that is my favorite thing about digitally published games, they can be updated so much it's rediculious, and the end result is a much beter game than when they started, excited to see how this one matures...

Anyone having trouble levelling skills? Stealth is up to 95 as are crossbows and I keep farming gold at the minute trying to level axes but its staying on 16 and doesn't budge no matter what I kill? The same for defence it's frozen at about 85.

    Citadel

So, anyone else having trouble getting into the citadel with Ror-Dan? It says I need to "Master the power of the wind". What the heck?

I must've missed something along the way. There's a goblin cave nearby in the marshes, and my main quest tracker is showing it, but inside there's nothing. Two rooms, one chest, and nothing about the power of wind.

    Any ideas guys?

I understand the competitive environment in iOS. I understand waiting for a game to go on sale (I have a large wish list on app shopper). I also understand requesting a refund when a game is broken. However, complaining about the price of a $7 game that has taken years for a developer to produce, not just thrown together like many $.99 games, is just ridiculous. Also this person is getting immediate responses from a developer known to continually update/fix/tweak their games, yet he throws in that he wants a refund bc he doesn't know if a fix will ever be made. No, he wants a refund bc he doesn't enjoy the game. Period. Which to me is not an acceptable reason to get a full refund. He should have waited for some reviews, watched some gameplay vids, then made an informed decision. I have payed for plenty of games/apps that I ended up not liking, most recently Crazy Hedgie, I don't ask for a refund I delete and move on.

I agree that one should not ask for a refund simply because they dislike a (working) game. However, if they dislike the game because the game is broken, then I believe they may be justified in asking for a refund. If a game is not operating as designed due to negligent programming and this effects gameplay, than you essentially paid for a broken game, and should be refunded or given a working game.

The challenge is to determine whether the game is broken, or just has some minor bugs that don't effect gameplay significantly.

    Hey Josh,
A lot of us have gotten into the citadel but once inside we are then unable to open the sealed gate on the left (as viewed from the citadel entrance). We get the red item and can open the right gate but that just leads to green toxic place that can't be crossed over. The left gate won't open. This is part of the main quest. Are we missing something or could it be a bug?
