Okay, not sure if this is already been answered. Can you play a mage in this game? Or is it simply a warrior with magic skills.
And here I thought it was just me! Not a deal breaker but just shows yet again how a developer makes a app universal but doesn't consider touch input complications when playing on a larger screen. As an iPad only player it is a little awkward to play this in my lap with one hand gripped to movement and the other floating over the front of my screen because there is no look detection area near the bottom right of the screen like a majority of other games that okay in first and third person...
there are no classes, you can specialize in whatever you want - be it magic, melee, or ranged. its all based on what you spend your points on.
Anyone else find it humorous to walk into someone's house and find all of their gold stored conveniently in barrels? DAMSEL: "oh hi, you saved me, thank you!" ME: "No Problem, I'll just help myself to smashing stuff in your house and taking your gold now"
When you track the quest it would be nice to have some compass. I found Troll cave just by accident. What even worse, NPC do not give directions, and the directions aren't stored in quest log descriptions. It would be much nicer to read "... from Troll Cave in eastern forest..." than just "... from Troll Cave, try and find it first."
Horse riding sucks, combat controls messing this up for me. Wish I could play this on a smaller device but sadly, mine's an iPod 4 oh and the bow animations....Aralon's was better. Just giving feedback, so far still worth the 6.99. With a couple of updates and fixes this could actually be the perfect rpg on iOS
Alright, for the update after the lockdown ends, here's some stuff that it would be nice to have a fix for/tweaked: -camera sensitivity and swiping anywhere right to adjust it -customize the button layout/button size (opacity would be appreciated, too) -turn on realtime shadows for iPad 4 -looting corpses and picking up objects is a bit of a pain, I don't have any suggestions on the matter but a look into it would be appreciated. For a later, bigger update: -enemies actually just up after you on rocks so that you can't "cheat" and jump on rocks and fire ranged weapons at them -give us an option for a seperate block button, then how about we hold down the attack button for a power attack? -the sword and shield, when in first person mode, need to bobble a little And a few months down the road, how about a $2.99 or $4.99 IAP for DLC that includes dual wielding, more monsters, henchmen/pets, new quests/storyline and a couple other neat features that I can't think of right now That's about all I can think of, thanks for listening to our feedback, Josh! You and your team have made a really special game.
A few more impressions and suggestions. First of let me state that I am having fun. For example: I really enjoyed sneaking in the troll cave, shooting the big fellas with my bow (the way you can aim play your own gravity medieval version of Angry Birds ...and that way shoot really far is awesome) and then kiting the trolls almost to death before giving them a final farewell greeting with my axe. Wohoo sweet fun. The gorgeous graphic just gets in the way for proper impressions as they need to sink in. But for suggestions: Major annoyances: Please for the love of whatever entity you like... more sensitivity Also lets get that camera touchie-thingie in the bottom corner as well (if we can move buttons everything is fixable from our side) if we can't Candykillers pics shows a nice way to fix it. So... Next up being able to customize buttons would make a great game hit the top When zooming all out on the camera (so you can see the legs as well) after a short time it zooms back again. Please change that. Minor annoyances: I suppose the system needs to generate loot, if not there is no reason why corpses have to be dead for a second or so before being lootable. For the perfect looting experience let the attack button be context sensitive, so if you are not being attacked or attacking it will turn to that hand symbol, so we do not have to move our hands and touch the middle of the screen. Even better would be the symbol popping up when we stand on top of the corpse. An option to remove the joypad and simply double tap (the double tap is already in order) and use the whole screen to turn etc would be nice as well. Minor bug: that guy in the first camp would not accept the ingots, I retook the quest but now the chest were open and empty, even after reloading the area. Was I looking for the wrong ones or is this a bug. And again: this game is fun. I could be amazing with a few tweaks. But it is still miles better than so much I play on iOS. Edit: and then I saw this: Josh are you really Santa?
Agree on all points, the enemy AI in the game is a joke unfortunately. They will run endlessly in to walls and just charge at you. Still enjoying the game though
Archery is soooo much fun. Feels a bit OP at the moment as you can just sit and shoot enemies while staying in stealth but im sure it will even out later on. Also my dude eats way too often.
Not sure if this was intended or not, but it seems that you do not get skill in stealth by continuously moving in stealth. You get points by going in and out of it. I raised my skill from 1 to 30 in a matter of minutes by just pushing the stealth on/off button. It would seem that the best way to level stealth would be to get experience in it by using it when enemies are around and sneaking around them, not just by pushing the button.
After dying trying to fight big rats in the area beyond the south gate of aven, i respawned in the terraces, but below the map so that I'm constantly falling to my death. I'm going to have to restart my game... Not cool. Other than that, very good game. Just hopes can play more of it without losing my save again
check your recent saves in 'load game' to see what you had before that, usually theres a recent save that will fix.
Get iExplorer, use that to take a backup of your save game once in a while. Thats how I always do to away getting royally screwed by bugs.
JBRUU, Ur the man! Yes! Am still licking that game but am ready to pay for DLC in da future BTW. I also don't like how often enemies are respawned. ( i think it was the same problem with Aralon, but it was also solved. )
Very cool game, but the lack of any sort of quest markers on the map is baffling to me...especially in a game this big. Even just a general sense of where to look would be a life-saver. I only have a few quests in my log, and have already forgotten which direction I'm supposed to go to find them. With no map indicators and no information in the quest log, I feel like I'm wandering around aimlessly hoping to bump into something.
