Since my last post about the logo didn't quite go so well (ended up ditching the logo ), I thought I might provide another taste of SciFly II - a much more fun taste Here's a quick clip of the Claw aircraft, painted Ferrari red, and with all 4 custom weapon sockets filled. I equipped it with a level 1 Machine Gun, Pulse Laser, Flack Cannon and Impact Laser. It has a standard thruster (not energy based), and a level 1 plasma shield (not shown, never got hit by anything). NOTE: The reason I'm not moving up or down or anything is just because I'm running the game in the simulator, so I can't use the accelerometer. It is a fully 3D open-world game. Today's video is just meant to show the weapon system, not combat/exploration. Maybe next week I'll take a video flying around one of the new islands. Don't forget to press the HQ button for much better video! I haven't added beam based weapons (like the phoenix in SciFly1), or following missiles yet. I'll hopefully get to that soon though. It should not be too hard to implement since SciFly 1's missiles were pretty cool. As always, thoughts, criticism, etc, very much welcomed! -Josh Edit: Here's what the plasma shield looks like. i think this is going to be one of the great app store games! looks great, eagerly waiting for release
i hope you give us the option to choose the color of the fighter.............some people might like red but i'm certain many people (like me) do not like this eye-hurting paint at all. something more subtle would be better......i think the color is just distracting.
Wow this looks really good. I love the detail of the shadow / lighting on the fighter. I am curious.....durring combat, what will the frame rate be like?
this actually looks like it could be a really nice game. I was extremely dissapointed by the original, but this one looks really nice. Just make it easier to lock onto enemies in this version, because that kinda killed scifly 1.
Looks excellent How are the weapons going to be controlled? Do you have to fire all slots at once, or can you choose what to use?
