Or Agon :) Not having leaderboards kinda sucks. I would play more if they did.

But it has some goals and loot to keep you playing.

I agree with cranker, on this platform most every action/arcade game shouuld adopt a standard online integration:)

Each ramp has a maximum score... No real point in leaderboards. Achievements might make sense though...

I don't really like this game..after playing Skee-Ball the physics of this game seem so horrible. I do love the different game modes though.

I downloaded Ramp Champ when it got free and really I like it.

Graphics itself is top-notch. It's one of the best looking games I've seen so far. There is so much care about details, that even every ticket you get (that animation after playing a ramp) has it's own serial number/id! (sic!) not to mention interface and beautiful level/ramp design. Pure eyecandy.

What is more sounds are great too, there is special music and sfx for each ramp, so playing every level is something new and fun.

Well, gfx and sfx is so good, that it is fun to watch how ramp looks like, even without playing... at least to me - it was the second time in my iPhone gaming history (after Flick Fishing), when I was just sitting and watching/listening and not only playing.

BUT there are some problems with aiming (even after playing Paper Toss and being no.1 for some time). At first I thought it's my fault (for example I noticed that after tricky shot ball can fall down beating everything on it's way, so there is more than "just throwing" here) and that physics is quite ok. I have bought skee-ball however, and after qick play I must say that aiming is the worst part of Ramp Champ.

It's not very bad, but it's least polished part of a game indeed. Ramp length must be shorter than in skee-ball so we can see all those animated targets, but this "shortened perspective" feels quite odd after Paper Toss and skee-ball.

Also there is still something with collision detection...

All in all: really good game, top-notch gfx and sfx, but physics could be better and it should have plus+ ;)

If only phisics will be fixed/enhanced, I will buy some (all?) DLC for Ramp Champ. For now I'll stick to free version.

+1 That was a good way of summing up the game, thats how I felt about it. Only I doubt I'd buy the DLC :p

How is there a maximum score ? Even if there is, it would be very tough to do the perfect shot each time to get it. You would have to know which ones to hit (and do a perfect shot each time) as well as each go up differently when they are hit multiple times. I haven't played in a while but I think this is how it works. (deleted it , but might re-install it)

Not sure but I think Agon or something similar would get me playing much more, bad physics or not :)

skee-ball also has highscore limit (8000), but not only it has online scoreboard also achievement for scoring 8000 points...

I am sure they could figure something out. leaderboards make a game much more interesting and competitive.

    Maximum Score

Well, the point of Ramp Champ is to hit targets that are worth a certain number of points that doesn't change from game to game. There are a maximum amount of targets that are possible to hit with 9 balls, even with lucky shots. Take, for example, Star Struck. It is impossible to hit every single target in each stage with only 9 balls. A skilled player might get them all, but there are several thousand people out there playing this game. Therefore, a leaderboard would be meaningless, as there would just be huge chunks of the same exact score.

The best they could possibly do is have every single possible score for that level in order from highest to lowest, and you could see where you fit in. But, that wouldn't even need internet access. I don't know how much of a use the number of players who have achieved that score is, but that is what an online leaderboard for Ramp Champ would look like.

Daily leaderboards solve the score cap problem.

I agree leaderboards for best score wouldn't work but one for total tickets would.

Are you sure? Then it would be less of a contest of skill and more of a contest of who has the most free time.

But ad discussed before best score leaderboards wouldn't work because of the limited amount of tRagets. Possibly average score?

This game is great, and I'm having such a good time with it. The amount of unlockables is obscene, haha.

My only complaint so far is that the controls are a little off. Maybe there's just a certain technique I haven't picked up, though, so I forgive it for the moment

Also, not a complaint, but it would be pretty cool if you could add in prizes that start up minigames or something. Kind of like WarioWare: Touched, how you unlocked a calculator and could actually use it, a parakeet that makes sounds when you touch it, and a host of other things.

But that would probably take a lot of time, so it's just a minor thing I'd like to see somewhere down the road.

Keep up the great work. This game is awesome :)
