I was sort of a late bloomer when it came down to buying this game. I just picked it up earlier tonight, along with the adventure pack, and the voyage pack. The game is great, it is just a tad bit frustrating when you cant get that one achievement. I have been trying at that duck one for ages. The levels I downloaded through the DLC actually seem to be a bit easier than the original levels that came with the game. Maybe its just something different after trying all of the other maps over and over again? I got all 3 of the tiki island achievement on my first 3 tries. But in the end I find the app awesome and definatley worth a try if you haven't gotten it already. BUT, I still prefer skee-ball over this, maybe its the fact that it is in 3D, or because the physics are slightly more fine tuned. There is something about it that makes it just feel a little bit smoother than ramp champ.
Impressive design but dissapointing gameplay + impressive graphics great sound and effects - bug and crash bad physics no free updates Impressive graphics is not enough for make a good game, crappy physics ruin the gameplay. "am not frustrating i finished all ramps and achievements" 2/5 stars
makes sense. Will get many many more people to try this and they'll make money on the DLC. hope it works out.
never played this before, but did it have the top in app purchase before?wondering if that's why its free now.

hell it's Free, I'm downloading now. I was so disappointed with Boardwalk games so this one looks a lot more fun
This really does have some of the best graphics in any game on the iPhone. The gameplay isn't particularly good compared to Skee-Ball, though. Still, for free, this is absolutely worth downloading
I liked Boardwalk Games, for what it is. However, I wish there had been more variety in the play mechanics ie. all three games were virtually the same "swipe to throw" mechanism. It entertained me for awhile, and still does on occasion. Skee-Ball is cool, but is a very limited "one trick pony" once you get over buying cool replacement balls. I've been looking at Carnival Games Live, but I feel it won't quell my need for something like Carnival Games on Wii, that game is pure heroin best injected with four players. I'll pick this up, but I'm going into it with my doubts. But as you point out "hell it's free".
Wow! Thanks iconfactory and DS Media Labs for making this game free. I did not really look into the game when it first came out, but for some reason, I decided to take the chance last night. The whole premise of the game is fantastic! The addition of tickets and selecting prizes and even trophies brings so much fun to the game. I did not have problems with the physics as others have mentioned, though it is a bit difficult to find that right balance to get the middle row. I had a bunch of fun playing it last night before bed. The only problem is, I know my daughter is going to absolutely love this game, so I don't want to play it so she can have the opportunity to unlock things and use up the tickets. I'll probably let her decide on one DLC for now.
The concept is nice but the controls are awful and inconsistent. It would help if when I press on the screen it would show the ball and blink when I let go. It's so hard perfecting your skill based on the current control scheme. Plus the addon packs are too expensive for what provide. Maybe .99 for 3 of the packs would make more sense than .99 each pack.
Hahaha. No, it wasn't just because it was free. Sure, that was part of it, but I don't just download something because it's free. I still want something I feel I will like/enjoy. So, even though it was free, there was some other pull that triggered me to actually download.
making this free could be a smart move for the developer considering that it has DLCs. This is not my genre but the game is quite good, should I get hooked I might pick up a level pack.
