Hey guys! Anyone can tell me how do I complete the mission on catching 25 fishes? I've tried diving towards the fishes but to no avail. Please help! Thanks
Doh, haha. Thx ## EDIT: The challenge's wording is horrible, devs. I love this game, and would gladly read and write any copy. That challenge should simply read "Play with fully upgraded homing missile." Since none of the weapons can be upgraded past 5*, the wording is misleading and may stump a few players.
Oh wow, I didn't realize level 22 is the max. Please please please add a prestige mode like in Jetpack Joyride, where we get trophies or special badges for each prestige! The game will lose longevity without a longtime strategy like this. I love this game, and want to see years of replayability ##
It seems to have broken in the latest update. I had actually passed that challenge in the previous version using the hovercraft-- diving should indeed work--but when the dev reshuffled the challenges for this update, I had to complete it again. Their collision boxes were always small, but it appears they're just turned off now. It's possible he now requires you to use the shark to catch fish, but if so it's not made clear. I haven't purchased it (I skipped right to the hovercraft), can anyone try it?
I had the shark when I ran this one, but I thought it was simply diving when the fish come by so that you come into contact with them, triggering the "eat fish" part to beat the challenge. If it's not registering you eating fish (you can check progress now by simply pausing the game and seeing where ur at with the mission), maybe buy the shark and run it again...
True, but the cost in coins was the equivalent of a $20 IAP before. Alternatively, by the time you grind 80,000 coins, there's would be little need for the coin doubler. Think about it for a second: its primary purpose is to shorten grind times but it's also one of the longest grinds to acquire. It was a bad value proposition...you should probably just buy upgrades that actually increase damage and extend your run instead, because not upgrading your boat while you hoard coins is going to drag out that grind even longer, and you're not seeing any of the fun new stuff in the meantime.
New glitch: sometimes when you select the 'watch video' option to continue, the screen will blackout, you will not be able to watch the video, you won't be able to continue, then it kicks you to the poker screen if you collected any chips on that particular run. Please fix.
Thanks for your reply! And thank you chief78 too. I have been using shark for this mission but it's just won't trigger the fish eating. I did not even manage to catch 1 fish.
Yeah it was cool for a run, but ultimately not useful enough to keep equipped. I went back to the cop hovercraft for the 4 health
Hi guys! Sorry for the fish mission glitch! I'm finishing the next build that fixes that issue and many others, will be available ASAP. I agree with the mission descriptions, many of them could be a bit confusing, I'll try to be more understandable. I'm not very convinced about a prestige mode, I would prefer offer you more levels with new missions and achievements, the game would be boring if you repeat the same missions again! I'm working hard on it, you won't be disappointed!
Hey there, You would be surprised about how well a prestige mode works to keep players engaged. A very small percentage of players are completionists, but it's frankly more about your sanity as a developer. The road you're on now was once lovingly described by one of my bosses as "the content rathole." You are playing a losing game of trying to stay ahead of your players' consumption of content. The moment most players run out of goals, content or a meaningful way to compete with friends, you'll start losing them. If they delete the game off their devices, they'll likely miss any of your subsequent updates. You start spending your time supporting a game for a dwindling group of players, ones who are in it for the grind and are likely not generating buzz or revenue. The takeaway: consider adding any features that generate their own gameplay to keep players engaged in between your content updates. Anyway, back to prestige modes. From a mobile standpoint, Jetpack Joyride does it wonderfully. They have a completely frivolous set of merit badges with humorous descriptions and you can earn one randomly every time you prestige. From a content standpoint it cost almost nothing to make (art and text for merit badges mostly) but it was a hit with players as another way to show status. Of course, prestige modes are quite familiar to online FPS gamers as well, though in that case players tend to lose all of their skills and weapons in exchange for profile badges and/or new customization.
That whole piece, very well said! To the above, I was thinking of JJ specifically. It's just a great way to keep going, even if it's trivial. Now, they also have a very robust shop, with more stuff that gets added. That is where good content updates could come from, and the prestige modes offer players a chance to keep gaining substantial coinage and using it towards these new items (vehicles, perks, hats maybe?) I think everyone here will say that a dev who actively takes all this and keeps on cranking out content gets a high 5 in my book.
I need a hint on how to complete the mission " Reach stage 2 without killing an enemy" Do i need a special weapon or ship? I tried diving a lot, but i always start shooting something nearby when i get out of the water again.
