    Hey all!

Many of you may have heard about Ramboat. We published the game over here some time ago and it had a very warm reception among players. Over the past year and a half, Ramboat has been downloaded over 5M times on iOS and Android and it has been hacked like there's no tomorrow... But well, that means the game is being liked by players.

We've been developing Ramboat 2 for a while now and we've got to the point that we're able to show some screenshots of the current state of the development. We're close to softlaunching it, but we need some more polish and feedback of players. When the time comes, I will let you know in case you want an early version of the game so you can try it. For now, what I can offer is an explanation of the new meta game and some cool pictures of the game expecting some feedback.

In case you've missed Ramboat (iOS | Android), it's an action arcade game about trying to reach the highest distance possible avoiding death as more and more enemies will try to destroy you. It's kind of easy at first, but as the game progresses, you will have to progress as well, improving your weapons and conquering quests to level up. You will be able to unlock new vehicles and characters, like...

Now that you're in context about what Ramboat is, now let me introduce our brand new Ramboat 2:

We didn't want to lose the essence of what made Ramboat so cool so, the gameplay remains more or less the same. This time, you will be running instead of using water vehicles to destroy all the enemies wanting to eliminate you. Here's a quick video about the new gameplay:

As you can see, you will have to get rid of enemies coming from everywhere: water, ground or air. Shooting and aiming is something that's done automatically by approaching enemies.

This time, as the character will be running, we will be able to use helping partners that will help us accomplish our duty. Here's a comparison picture between Ramboat 1 and Ramboat 2:

In Ramboat you could unlock new vehicles. In the left screenshot shown above you can see how Vincent is using a submarine jumping to destroy an helicopter. In Ramboat 2, in specific parts of some levels, you will have the possibility to use special characters, like the horse shown. I don't want to spoil, but there will be some EPIC characters in certain levels.

Another thing that we have changed this time is the transition from endless runner to levels. You won't have to start all over again from level 1 to whichever you can reach. This time you will unlock new levels as you progress.

When things get ugly, you better prepare your armory. Improve your weapons while keeping yourself in fashion:

Inside the armory, you will be able to unlock a cool bunch of weapons as you progress through the game:

But you will be also responsible of taking care of how you look in front of your enemies. You will unlock new elements such as glasses, bandanas, trousers, boots... They will also improve some of your skills, so you will have to pick them well.

The game is already playable, but, as I said at the beginning, we need to polish it before softlaunching it. We will be sending some promo codes when the times come. I will be making a list because the promo codes are limited so, if you are interested, please let me know and I will book you a spot.

Thank you for taking the time to read!

definitely interested also! I liked the first one, and i like the changes here -but could you make the special characters ie the horse etc unlockable and useable? The thing i liked most about the first was unlocking not only different characters but boats! Please don't take that away and only use them as a special "powerup"

Hi guys, I'm the developer behind Ramboat 2 (maybe you remember me from Ramboat 1 thread). I will try to answer all your questions and request. As you can see in old threads I'm very aware of all your comments, the feedback given in this forum is very important for me to achieve a funny game. Let's go! :)

This is a very interesting subject. During the game development I have always wondered about the role of new vehicles. I do not want to advance many events, but right now they are raised as elements of the stages themselves. Treating them as unlockable and permanent items detracted from the gaming experience because each vehicle has its own features (something like Jetpack Joyride). I will wait for a first feedback to see if the vehicles fit in their roles.

Love the first one so hearing this is great news. Looks like a sweet follow up and a big fan of the move to levels.

Any shot you will make this one premium vs F2P?

Due to publisher contract we can't make it premium. But I'm always trying to make a fair game, "free to play" and not "pay to win".
