Could you send over a screenshot ([email protected])? It looks like a very isolated case. We tested on over 20 Devices/OS but it looks like one missed .. We will address this asap.
Hahaha, glad to be of service...but for now I must go back to playing these 4 awesome games that should have really been sold for $2.99 because $4.99 is too much for OLD GAYMZ AND P0RTZ~11!!1!! *sadfays* </trying too hard>
It´s Raiden and it´s very great to have this classics at my Ipad. What´s not so great is, that all runs a bit jerky on my ipad 3 OS6. And the sound is really awful. Thin, high, crackling not how it should be. Still I´m happy to play this classics after all this years.
With the sound... To anyone wondering.... Pretty sure that's an OS issue as well. Running on 5.1.1, and the sound is just fine (though I will admit, you can tell its at a low bitrate, and it'd Rick if DotEmu could up this a bit, even at the cost of space) - no crackling, hissing, or any other issues. I wouldn't worry too much though if you are experiencing it, DotEmu is GREAT with getting quick fix updates out. =oD
I'm having too, on iOS 4.3.5 -- same half-screen, only the left half showing of the play field. Everything else is fine, including menus, etc. but having the game screen borked really sucks.
Well, I figured out something that helps alot. The game defaults with a volume level set at 3/5. When I jacked it up to 5/5, don't notice the hiss and high screaching sound as much and the sound is tolerable now. So I highly recommend jacking the volume in the options menu to 5/5 and the sound will sound much better.
Give dotemu a chance to fix this in a coming update, they have been good about fixing stuff in the past.
I'm aware of that, and have every faith that they will. I just wanted to let them know it wasn't a single user's experience. It likely affects everyone with iOS 4.x, or at least the final builds.
Oh man, I'm glad there's an option to turn off auto-fire, and shrink the game screen a bit. We'll see how my scores end up comparing to the 360 version...
Hi everyone, We confirm a rotation issue on iPhone 4/iPod Touch 4th Gen with OS 4.X only. This does NOT impact any other devices iPad 1,2,Retina,Mini, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4S, 5 etc even with 4.X OS. We haven't noticed any other issues and the Flurry error report is blank with 0 crash so far. We will submit tonight an update to the AppStore. Sorry for the inconvenient, iOS fragmentation really became crazy. On the positive side, we have great feedback so far and a lot of you already love the game. Please share the news! The DotEmu Team.
Playing Raiden on medium, my score is not saving on GC. Had a quick go on hard, my score did save. Edit: I'm using an iPod Touch 4G on 5.0.1. Apart from that the game is really good, well worth the 3 quid.
Plays great so far. I'm slowly getting warmed up to the touch control. Anybody figured out how to access the hidden planes yet? (Judge Spear, slaves, etc.) I'll probably be lucky to get 10 mil on RF without those. (Fast Touch mode is for weenies.)
Admittedly, I find myself more than a little weirded out by this game collection, maybe cause I'm a DoDonPachi kinda guy (Ressurrection was my intro to bullet hell shmups). And, for some reason, I am EXPONENTIALLY reminded of my time first learning to play Cave's shooters the more I play this game, AND I DON'T KNOW WHY. *coughSarcasmcough* Maybe it is because of the combination of a much larger and unforgiving hit box with the ease of which certain bullet patterns become inescapable if you happen to so much as blink, thus encouraging level memorization instead of actual player skill (key word: encourage, NOT require... IMHO, that's debatable). Plus, there is no health system, no fall-back if you happen to slip up an evasive pattern: one hit equals one plane down ALWAYS. The difficulty curve is one constant: A wall of fiery doom that spouts flame at your feeble attempts to pass the first stage, and roars like a raging bull when you put your toe in the waters of the next stage. What I do find strange, though, is that there is no way to increase one's number of continues, which is a major bummer for newbies. (I think I know why the restriction was set; the only equivalent to "quarters in the machine" is "in-app purchases" for iOS, and dem Hardcore Gamers HAET IAP in their nostalgia-goggles view of their childhood, DESPITE THE FACT THAT IT COULD FULFILL THE SAME FUNCTION AS THOSE QUARTERS FROM THEIR PAST but oh well, people will be people). I appreciate the challenge, and I like what DotEmu has done with the core game. I don't think I have the fortitude to master these particular games, but I can see the appeal to those who want to beat it. The game just plumb burned me alive, is all, and I need to spend a week in a Bacta tank before giving it another go. Sincerely, Mr. Album 5/5 stars.
Hmm, I'll have to try the original button codes with my iCade. Getting the 100K medals with the five default planes in RF is tremendously difficult.
