Is it possible for a not so good player to complete it now on the new easy mode? If so I will have to redownload Raiden Legacy...

4 games for a price of 1 is a very good deal, and raiden jet fighters included into collection ( which is held as best raiden game ever) gives it even more value.If you're into old arcade shooters this is a no brainer. Just wish they finally add on screen controls, steering ship with finger is unpractical.
Try it with an icade core joystick and hdmi tv, you will think you are in the arcades. And pump the music up really loud.
Different styles completely, plus du2 was made for touchscreen, so better graphics, sound, controls, etc. I find raiden legacy hard to play without a joystick. But it does bring back a lot of memories.
Raiden is superior in almost every way. I can't stand the graphics in DU2. These Raiden games are absolute classics.
You're selling DU2 short Soldat. The graphics are far better in DU2 than Raiden. Raiden4 would be the closest. DU2 is a much more unique game. That being said, Raiden4 might be my favorite shmup of all time.
Call me OCD. I know this may sound stupid but the thing stopping me from purchasing and enjoying this game is that there's the player 2 sign at the top right of the screen, it really puts me off. I know it's coded and can't be removed by the dev though. In terms of replayability, I think Raiden is superior since it has way more levels compared to DU2.
I found Raiden a little hard to play at first with the touch controls, dotemu worked with us to make faster instantaneous touch controls which helped, but I never realized how great Raiden was without the icade joystick controls. With that, Raiden became complete, and pretty much like the arcade games of the past with the big stick and huge buttons. On top of that, with hdmi tv, the screen is bigger than the arcades, and with a good stereo system, the sound is just awesome. Try it with a joystick sometime all, Raiden is a classic with a true arcade stick.
Why isn't there an option for scanlines filter? maybe i'm in the minority here, but I kind of like that effect on other arcade emulated games. I doubt there'll be an update for this.
Don't get me wrong, I still think the explosions in raiden are better than those in games made today!
