Special attacks don't feel special, the combo system sucks quite a lot, animations and sounds are awkward, unresponsive... Overall it just doesn't feel like a fighting game. If you want a 2D fighting game, you have Kinetic Damage, Street Fighter X Tekken Mobile, Street Fighter IV Volt and King Of Fighters-i 2012, and even Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 are much better choices than this game. Bay area, CA #12 Artfoundry, Oct 29, 2013 Wow I'm really surprised at all the negative feedback for this game. I love the game. Very responsive (iPhone 5), great graphics, nice customization of the combos (the equipment system could be better though - I don't get a good sense that higher priced equipment is that much better). Really none of the things people have complained about have bothered me (or even been present). A story would be nice, but not necessary. The post apoc feel is just so cool that it speaks the need for a story. saansilt ð® Spam Police ð Mar 23, 2013 3,291 0 36 #13 saansilt, Oct 30, 2013 Its just that with a better game avalible that was made by ONE GUY with zero IAP and better customization avalible. Artfoundry Well-Known Member May 11, 2009 2,519 2 38 COO and Creative Director at LCD Dreams, Inc. Bay area, CA #14 Artfoundry, Oct 30, 2013 I really don't think you can compare this to Kinetic Damage (any more than you can compare it to Street Fighter). They're different types of fighters. The moves and fighting in this one are simpler, and the damage is more based on your combo and equipment than stringing together moves like you do in KD and SF (though there is that too - but blocking is a larger part of this game, so it's less about finesse and more about the right move at the right time). And what does the dev team size or IAP have to do with the game's value? Nothing. Rating a game poorly simply because it didn't meet your expectations based on the developer is not a very good rating policy. Besides, there is no need to spend money on IAP in this game - you can earn money to buy the equipment simply by winning matches. saansilt ð® Spam Police ð Mar 23, 2013 3,291 0 36 #15 saansilt, Oct 30, 2013 Dev size and IAP affect a games value in that these guys have made several fighters on iOS and the game remains dull and slow. Its just a waste of time. You can compare KD as - Both have customization of move sets - Both have multiple fighting styles to use. - Both rely on combos. "Right Move at The Right Time" That is the core of the fighting Genre. Every fighter is about that. Finesse just means that it is done fluidly. BUT, the theme does fit the pace. A post apocalyptic world is a brutal ugly place devoid of finesse. If the wanted to translate the world into the game mechanics, they succeded. I mean seriously, in a world where the finest delicacy is probaldly old canned goods, nobody really would have much style. Just straight up bash the other guy till he falls down. I guess its the whole "post apoc scavenger world" that tires me. With all the zed fic goin around it kinda becomes boring. Does it run? Yes Can it be fun? Yes Is it a game? Yes IAPs? Unneeded I just didn't click with it for a few factors. Its dull and slow to me. But there is an audience for it, as you have proven. MrMojoRisin Well-Known Member Jul 27, 2012 1,183 0 0 #16 MrMojoRisin, Oct 30, 2013 Not sure if you are trying to be ironic in suggesting Kungfu Jumpu. I'm actually quite addicted to that game, lol. But yeah, Kinetic Damage is the iPhone fighter to beat, currently. Especially if you have an iCade controller. Man, that makes it SOOOOO much better. Do any of the other fighting games for iPhone or iPad support iCade? nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #17 nightc1, Oct 30, 2013 Kungfu Jumpu is a pretty awesome little game. Rage Warriors? It's a bit too thick of a game for me to install right now. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
