I feel like I'm walking into a party just as the host has come down in his pyjamas! I finally made it to the end of the thread, and at RIP279, I'm still shaving but at a slower and slower pace. Mr X - retiring so soon? There's still life in this party! Thank you everybody in this great community for your subtle and not so subtle tips! Without them, Id never have broken 300, and youve kept my sights heading lower than I would have ever thought. Gearhouse of Horrors has kept me busy today, and Im not sure what will ultimately deliver a 4. Dolls landing in the middle, on one side, spread out, landing in quick succession, all together, or is there a hidden weakness in the level that Ive not spotted yet? Please put me out of my misery! (Well, it isn't that bad, but you know...)
you can have the button pressed with 3 dolls. Two on it in the middle cuddling and one full force on to of them. Has to be full force. Good luck.
The only thing I have trouble with so far is that bouncy spring thing. I can't figure out how to make it bounce the ragdoll really high other than continuously shoot at it to force the spring all the way down.
Well it's any level that has those bouncy springs in all forms and sizes, not restricted to any particular level.
I'm late to the game ... but down to mid 300s now so I've started reading through some of the posts to figure out what levels I can still trim. I was noticing this post today. Don't know if anyone else has commented, but the tangential physics diagrammed in this picture are good for any level that rotates on the middle axis (at the center of the circle). But it's not correct for those levels where the circle is rolling on a plane. For rolling wheels (like big wheel), the pivot point at any instance is the point at which the circle contacts the horizontal plane (which obviously constantly changes as the wheel rolls). Practically, what it means is shoot a lot when the canon is far away from the floor, save your shots when the cannon is near the floor (it's substantially less effective there). Changes your shot philosophy a bit.
Lol - this is what I meant by: "The final hint for this level is that you want your doll to be as strong as possible (which limits where you will aim and where the cannon must be when you aim). "
SoF 8 -- No chance this helps with SoF in 8, eh? Every other known doll shaving is out there -- except SoF in 8. How can that be!?!? /SJM P.S. What I mean by this is that, for the 4 dolls I currently don't have -- I know how to get 3 of them -- just a matter of perfecting the shots / luck. SoF 8 though -- no idea on what change is needed to get from 9 to 8.
I'm with steve here, luck & hard work ahead for 3 and no idea for SoF 8. qam-bueller?... qam-bueller?... qam-bueller? No I didn't think so. *Fox sigh*
For what it's worth, here's what hasn't worked: 1. Fire right and wait for the cannon to lightly bounce off the blocks and slowly move back right. 2. Fire x dolls left. 3. Wait until the cannon magically speeds up in the area between when both the blocks and stalk are off-screen. 4. Fire (x-6) dolls left. 5. Curse loudly when the cannon hits the stalk.
So...F Yeah, then there's this classic, originally posted by BillT: "Son of Flex. I thought if I left it on all night the stalk would turn brown, die and fall over by itself. No."
Leaving S of F on all night is not quite long enough to turn the stalk brown...you need to leave it on all winter!
Hmm, in my hemisphere I'll have to wait 6 months till winter and then 6 more months till spring. So that's definitely a NO. LOL ... back to the garden shed for more tools.
Good to see we're not dead just yet. I'm not sure there is a trick to SoF in 8. I think it's it's just a matter of the stalk eventually breaking in 7 dolls, but only q and X know if that's true. Has anyone else out there seen a broken stalk in 7 dolls no matter which way it fell? Maybe the next update will add weed killer. On another note, which do you guys think is easier: 18 -> 17 WD or 25 -> 24 BW Looks like only X has both.
May I be so bold as to speak for other dolla friends? I believe the resounding unanimous answer... is... BW24!! Only X has WD17, so far, and so far as I know.
I had it fall in 7 a few times but only one was in the right direction and I missed the shot. I got tired of the level after that and haven't been back.
The leaderboard is hacked again! The user "al0s3r" has score 0 in room 1 to 6. I have reported it to Backflip Studios.
