Question? Quick Question: If you are on a level where you think - erm lets say for argument - that 24 is possible but you don;t yet even have 25. Would you push for the 24 or get to it incrementally shaving dolls as you go?
Oh -- say -- BW? I think if you are within 2 (26 in your .. ahh.. theoretical example) then go for it -- you obviously have the basic skills then -- if you are further away though -- maybe good idea to trim a bit at a time .. good practice anyway .. Especially on BW -- I sometimes mis-count -- and shoot an extra doll -- but I still see what happens .. especially if would shave a doll off ...
I say go for it in 23, set a new precedent, be a pioneer, ya know ya want to, c'mon go for it, everybody's doing it, I mean nobody's doing it
Incrementally for sure! It is a good feeling to shave a doll! It is very frustrating to not lower your scores in days (believe me, I know)!
On BIg Wheel I swear there are times the Wheel moves faster. If you shoot the same way at the same time it sometimes moves faster. I think it's like the time that snaps the stalk in SoF. There are many levels like this. Maybe there is a tail wind they throw in every now and then.
Yes, shoot the doll at the same time the smoke comes out of the cannon. That will give you a stronger shot!
Just kidding!!! ...but it could be something like that! Why do you think the cannon is vibrating? That is so even if you aim exactly at the same spot the result is different. How many times have you used exactly the same aim in Jail Guard? How many times have you used exactly the same aim and the same "vibrating position" of the cannon?
ROFL. I just spent the last ten minutes Trying this in SoF. It doesn't work LOL, but then you knew that. As for the cannon position there are some levels where it is critical, for example Cannon Happy 2nd shot. If your cannon is not in the right position you will never get it in 2. I still can't believe I fell for that. Shows how desperate I am. LOL
I fell for it too. I was having a nervous breakdown trying to time the shots with the puffs of smoke. I don't think it's the vibrating cannon that messes with the shot. I think it's because we don't have pointy fingers. I think my finger just moves a pixel while I'm shooting. I agree the vibrating cannon may be the reason the dolls don't work the same in Jail Guard but on the levels with the rolling cannons there appears to be inconsistency in the speed of the roll even when you're firing straight left at the same intervals. It's like the big ice cube in Quintesson. That one time it slides right faster than all the other times. Now I'm wondering if PhantomX was telling the truth about the home button being on the left making the shot more powerful. I've been doing that tip religiously and I've never noticed the differnce.
I guess you have noticed the small bump just before the stalk in SoF. I have been trying to time my shots around that. The seventh or eight shot just when the cannon hits the bump. The seventh shot before and the eight shot after the bump. The seventh and/or eight shot when the cannon is in the air after hitting the bump. I have still not found what is working best...
Finally! Finally I make the top 10! 264. (fingers crossed no one else gets here or better before X updates.) LMAO I'm pretty sure that WD is an 18 now - maybe dare I say it a 17 (although I can't see me getting that)

263 now 20 on WD - a 17 is definitely possible. Dare I say it I actually find I quite enjoy WD and BW now - not too much but they are certainly not the hated levels anymore
I still hate BW cause it's a good 30 seconds before you get into the meat of the level. WD is fun until you get 18, cause going for 17 is tedious.
Yeah. That's how I felt. Not so hated, we're friends now. But I may revoke that friend status if 19 doesn't come to pick me up. And soon.
I felt much better when I had a 19 and the best was a 19 Now I need 2 more dolls on WD .. (and 2 on BW ) .. <sigh> I'll send my phone and $20 to someone who can do JG and MR for me
